Before 1947 India was dependent, but Indian were Free. But now India may be a free country, Indian are slaves.
We Indian have to honor the flag, we have to die for flag, we have to do all the needy for flag, we have to do all the things for flag, but we have no right to have it.
One simple poor old man wanted to give national flag to a child is not his right. To die or get jailed is duty for flag.
If I have to do all the duty for the flag, then it is my right to express my feeling about the flag.
If the flag is not mine, then how our NETA's and system expect from me to belong to flag.
Have some heart, tell the old man what went wrong, rectify the error in drawing, or give a flag and for god's sake close the case with some honor.
what a pathetic display of law....the poor fellow was indeed was celebrating independence with his grandsons....police usually acts very strangely...they will careabout nation flag misused in fashion shows and related media show....but when a poor man shows up his ignorance...they will act....great salute to the ploce
It shows the state of our "independence". Education is for the privelaged. So are the Re 1 tri color. OR the right to dishonour the flag. I recollect seeing a model wearing a tricolor dress/sari, and that obviously doesn't warrant any action. After all it was all in good taste!!
Interestingly, a citizen of US is legally allowed to burn US flag to protest. That's amatured democracy and republic for you.
The man made a terrible mistake, that's true. but his intentions are to make a poor child happier and there is nothing harm to mother india if she is with a wrong or right flag untill she is in the hands of her child.
when politicians like lallu yadav and sonia gandhi, vajpayee fight like street fighters in the parliament, why does indian law doesnot punish them not to stand in elections forever.
i am unhappy to say that justice in my country will be only given for poor and the politicians, big shots, actors can do what ever mistake in my mother land.
after our successful independence day celebrations, i try to say that my voice is the voice of thousands of indian youth who wanted these criminal politicians to be punished by law and to make india a safe heaven of democracy with valuable leaders like manmohan singh to rule our nation with honour.
Whilst I maintain that any dishonor to the tri-color should be severely dealt with, I find it weird and awkward to read that a labourer has been arrested for drawing the flag for his grandsons. Poor guy, au contraire he is making his kins patriotic.
If the other residents thought there was a misuse, someone should have either drawn the right flag and given it to the kids, or bought them new ones. This is just not right.
