Mumbai disaster
by sandeep sule on Aug 14, 2005 08:04 PM  Permalink

We should basically understand that in any given space the number of population which can be accommodated and the resources which can be shared has limits. Due to negligence of politicians, apathy of migrated population Mumbai has reached the present status. This may not be digested by most of the people but this is a truth why Mumbai starts its routine after any disaster. As every body who has come to Mumbai is for earning money, and nobody has time for solving civic problems.

For solving Mumbai Problems 1st and foremost action is stopping of migration to city, and stopping of all real estate development activities up to 100 Km radius of city for next 10 years.

During this 10 years the proper infrastructure and civic amenities needs to be build, not only for Mumbai but for Thane, Navi Mumbai and Kalyan / Dombivli & Panvel areas to sustain the existing population and the future development.

this will need money, and central govt. should no hesitate to shell out some money for the "commercial capital" of India

Mumbai Needs.....
by Girish Nanivadekar on Aug 14, 2005 06:13 PM  Permalink

The heavy rain caused devastating flood. It is beyond the reach of human being to win over mother nature.

Now what Mumbai needs is the Administrartor like Mr. Rao, who changed the face of Surat city after 1994 flood and plague. This kind of move will change Mumbai & will make it more beautyful.

The incumbent should be given all the authorities to shift the slum areas in a proper way and make the best use of land. He should not be a puppet of politicians and go as per the principals of not troubling the poor people without any rhyhm or reason. In most of the cases the poor people are worst hit.

I am sure the ministers who REALLY want to help the community will bring such a person and make Mumbai compatible to New York, Chicago, Toronto and Las Vegas.

Can white coloured people convert bangalows in to hospital
by pravin on Aug 14, 2005 04:12 PM  Permalink

In this emergency situation can big shots like amitabh bachchan and many others can convert their highly paid bangalows in hospitals or they are very much busy doing sawal do karodka. see the people from slum are main spectators of amitabh bachchan movies like coolie etc. when these poor and down troden people are trouble why not these white coloured people open their helping account on behalf of their `KHOOM PASINE KI KAMAI' or `AAMIRON KA KHOON KHOON AUR GARIBON KA KHOON PANI' This may pincth you but this is fact. When Amitji came to Mumbai with a letter from Indiraji he had no flat in Mumbai but now Amitji is landlord but at whose cost. At the cost of poor down troden viewers who watched Amitji's movies and made him super star. There were roumer of Amitji's demise when accident took place on coolie's shooting that time some of his fans got their heir cut as if Amitji was their father. Where the hell is the father of Mumbai gone now answer ?
