Mumbai disaster
by sandeep sule on Aug 14, 2005 08:04 PM

We should basically understand that in any given space the number of population which can be accommodated and the resources which can be shared has limits. Due to negligence of politicians, apathy of migrated population Mumbai has reached the present status. This may not be digested by most of the people but this is a truth why Mumbai starts its routine after any disaster. As every body who has come to Mumbai is for earning money, and nobody has time for solving civic problems.

For solving Mumbai Problems 1st and foremost action is stopping of migration to city, and stopping of all real estate development activities up to 100 Km radius of city for next 10 years.

During this 10 years the proper infrastructure and civic amenities needs to be build, not only for Mumbai but for Thane, Navi Mumbai and Kalyan / Dombivli & Panvel areas to sustain the existing population and the future development.

this will need money, and central govt. should no hesitate to shell out some money for the "commercial capital" of India
