I think the article is all about the Prez. of Pakistan visiting India and not about the Sikh gentleman. I believe it is the duty of the Rediff News chief editor to correct such stupid remarks. I strongly feel that the chief editor as well as the writer of the article should apologize to the pubilc.
Hello Ms. Sheela, The article -"How a Sikh gent got Butt out!", is good. However, the intent of explicitly mentioning that a "Sikh" got out Salman Butt is not clear to me. (What properties of the Sikh religion were used to make the batsman out? Don't others visit rest-room in their lives?)
If it was only to make the subject line a bit "catchy", then I would like to humbly request you to discover better ways of doing the same. It will certainly add more value to your writing style and will help you in growing at a better pace.
I am sure you will take care of this aspect of Journalism in future.
