Have some sense man... Have some statistical sense. Dont write crap. To get a relative picture of the crime rate, it should be averaged across population.

Ur right. All brics and emerging nations are present in the list.relatively Population is more in these countries.The author forget Some african countries and middle east where murder seems to be a daily routine.After the masscare hunt on tibatens china is not in the list, its making wonder!!

do you agree that china has more population then us ?! Compare which has good records, we need to be better in many ways.
They should co-relate no. of murders to population and size of the Country. The way killings taken place in other countries never publicised but in India a murder of a thug also given big publicity around the world. However in India the figures given may be still higher in reality as thousands of murders were treated as suicides or natural death by sheer money power!
India is first in Pollution ,Population .Murders Crimes ,Corruption , Crime on females, Rapes And still a foolish bunch of people expecting India to be super in 2020 .India is centuries behind western and European countries. Indian are frogs in well don’t want to know how is world outside and don’t believe anything world say

Having lived in western countries also, I know India is far behind western countries in terms of development and physical comforts. But this particular news item is utter crap because when population is more everything (good as well as bad) will be more in terms sheer volume. What you should consider is the rate (per million people or so). Some poeple can only see bad. Some people can see only good. Occasionally there are people who can seee good as good and bad as bad.
the ratio of murder to the population of india works out to around 100,00,00,000 :33,000 or 33:10,00,000 ie 33 murders per million - compared to that of US WHICH IS 130 :10,00,000 -ie 130 murders per million- WE ARE WAY BEHIND THE MOST DEVELOPED COUNTRY'S CRIME RATE

US is in no way the world's most developed country. It only has the biggest economy. But living-standard-wise and HDI-wise it's way behind many European countries and Japan. And HDI includes crime rates too.

US has a much bigger population compared to these small european countries(infact greater than all eiropean countries japan )..and it still gives a high standard of living to its citizens in genereal.
That apart US allows people from every race every country to prosper ..

The actual figure could 10-20 times more than this...this is just a official figure..And in a country where use of guns is prohibited for civilians...this is not a small ratio dude...

Statistics can be misleading. In India many times murder is passed as a suicide or natural death. No one knows the actual count.
