PRAKASH KARAT!!!!
by HP Singh on Jul 23, 2008 02:23 PM  Permalink

Prakash Karat is not the elected representative of the people, at any level. He is not an economist! That being the case, in what capacity has this individual been enunciating his archaic / redundant economic theories, and attempting to thrust the same on the Govt. of India, which is teeming with world recognised economists. He is projecting that he is acting in national interest and on behalf of the people. Communists are not people, they are relics from a failed past. The people of India have not nominated this opportunist to speak or act on their behalf. Yet, this man held the nation to ransom for four years. He is the man who never permitted an eminent and a competent personality like Jyoti Basu to take over as PM, when the nation desperately needed such a leader. He talks of national interests. Today, the economy is in its present state because Karat did not allow Govt. to act any way other than what suited his archaic ideas. He blames the Govt. It is time he was sent into oblivion, along with his relics of history colleagues.

Prakash Karat should shut up
by DV Nayak on Jul 23, 2008 12:11 PM  Permalink

Speech is silver, maybe.
Silence is golden, definitely.
Or he will be permanently debarred from sane discourse on politics, now that he has been completely exposed.

How does increasing no. of billioaires help country or its people?
by Guruprasad Raghavendra Rao on Jul 22, 2008 03:49 PM  Permalink

Dear Prakash Karat,
What is the epistemological purpose of Communism?
Name atleast 1 country in the world where Communism has succeeded?
Is it not primitive to still believe in PDS? OR IS IT THAT YOU WANT PEOPLE TO STAND IN QUEUES FOR THEIR BASIC NECESSITIES.
You say 54% children are malnourished: WHOSE CHILDREN?
COME OUT OF YOUR AXIOM " FROM EACH ACCORDING TO HIS ABILITY TO EACH ACCORDING TO HIS NEED".
You suggested "Windfall Tax on private Oil producers". Do you understand what kind of ingenuity it takas to PRODUCE?
Finally, DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS THE ROOT OF MONEY?
ANSWER THIS YOURSELF KARAT AND IF POSSIBLE TELL THE ANSWERS TO YOUR FELLOW COMRADES.

by langa on Jul 15, 2008 12:49 PM  Permalink

MR. BARDAN KNOWS WELL THE PRICE OF A MP, BECAUSE THEY WERE THE FIRST ONE TO BUY. IF NOT HE WOULD NOT DARE TO MAKE THAT STATEMENT. CUDOS TO BARDAN, WHO IS THE FIRST ONE TO REVEAL THE POLITICAL HORSE TRADING PRICE. COMUNISTS MIGHT HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT A FEW FOR SECURING THEIR VOTE.

Pity on you that you call yourself a patriot. First find out the reasons that why left is against Nuclear deal. Any sensible national of this country wants the deal to go through. Communists have never given anything to this country. They always crib. They are responsible for influx of Bangladeshis to Eastern states. They are now spoiling karala by ignoring the rise of militancy in that state. I felt ashamed as a citizen of country when they said that Nuclear deal is against muslims. Damn !...Shame on them...

mORE RICH ANDCOMMIES OUT OF JOBS.
by GRJ on Jul 06, 2008 12:01 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What is the way Karat can make millionaires from the poor sections?

He will just keep them fed and use them for his funny gimmicks with ruling Govts..

He will not allow poor to become millionaIres. whereas other govts can by chance or choice make millionaires fro the poor.

Make all poor into rich and karat will be jobless. His poor, will throw him out.

Hope congress and BJP will disable people like karat.

Only a stupid can think of turning all the poors into millionares. One who is absolutely illitarate, doesn't know abc of economics or one not with a commonsense even can only fantacise with such dream. The only way to eradicate poverty is equal distribution of national resources for nationals and not for foreign countries

what rubbish you are talking about. The only way to increase growth and prosperity is by integrating India more into the world-trade and for this we need the MNCs both foreign and Indian. Without being integrated into the world economy our rupee would be hovering around 100 rs to a dollar now.

Read Aleksander Solzhenitzyn
by Sameer Bhagwat on Jul 03, 2008 12:57 PM  Permalink

Con-gress and Commies can't hoodwink the people at every stage. Read Aleksander Solzhenitzyn to learn about the horrors of Communism.

It is Nehruvian-Stalinism that is keeping India from becoming a first rate nation. According to the contorted logic of commies, the fault is always with the honest, hard working, and non-violent people. The murderous naxalite becomes the "victim", ha!!

I don't see any of these Commie authors sparing even a word of sympathy for the countless policemen killed by naxals, or their wives and children. According to them, only terrorists have human rights!!

Since all the bright students in India enter science stream and go on to become engineers, IT professionals and medical doctors, there is nothing left for dumbasses like this author but to suck up to white man hoping for crumbs. Worse than a dog, at least the dog is faithful. These commie morons are the worst traitors.

All of you Rediff readers, please don't support Commies. Don't give any money to Commie "charities" like AID or Asha for Education. Warn all your friends too about these cancerous entities.

A rethinking.
by Bishwa NathSingh on Jun 23, 2008 02:25 PM  Permalink

Is it not true that the politicians of today are drifting away from the teachings of Gandhi Jie and his ideals of truth, on-violence & universal brotherhood? Gandhi Jie had taught us to have national interest above our self one. How many of us are following his doctrine? If we really search our hearts for their answer, it will be in negation. Let us all rethink on these vital issues and have consciousness to follow teachings & ideals of Gandhi Jie in our life to make our lives the most successful! We must keep national interest over our own interest. It is then we can render service to our nation & mankind as whole Poverty, Price-hike, and Unemployment & Violence are few great menaces of our country that must be tackled on war-footing. We must remain united if we have to come out from these menaces. Prakash Karat is a seasoned politician and true believer of communism. He has clarity in his thinking and utterances that can't be disputed. Let us all rise on the occasion to serve our motherland as how best we could do so keeping in mind the teachings of the father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi!

POVERTY PRESERVED
by Sujan Saraswati on Jun 23, 2008 09:58 AM  Permalink

Mr. Karat's interview has brought out quite a few issues in the orefront. Firstly he is no different from other politicians, he also talks about communal parties etc. Why can't Mr. Karat understand that Communism never meant that poverty of the nation should be preserved. In West Bengal, we have heard about situations, when electrical power in the hospital failed and no medical service could be extended. Last year, we had a couple of fires in Kolkata and the informed people are of the view that all the employees of State Fire Services, at lower lever are cadre members and for them knowing about the party politics is more important than knowing about the intricacies of fire fighting. I feel, in the country, we have two types of workforce. There is one group, which does not have much of a political affiliation and they are the ones who are trying to produce and the second group is the Communist affiliated workforce, which is always trying to obstruct the first group and plan and implement millions of bandhs. Nation should ask Mr. Karat to explain as where he wants to take the nation. Have we ever heard about any contribution from even a single communist (Dr. Asim Dasgupta included) which has help the nation in increasin any productivity in any of the sectors he has claimed in his interview. These people only want to stick to power and dictate the lives of millions of people.
