Conversion is confusion. What matters is understanding reality to have clarity and break one's mediocrity. There is nothing there in any religion to convert to. We need unification based on positive and common values of life, one-law, uniform civil code, gender equality, human character, human values and just keep excelling in talent, skills, knowledge for better physical and emotional health and functionality. That is what all developed countries practice in life -- unification of ideas for constant betterment and break from mediocrity, stagnation, violence and status-quo. Life is all about action to know oneself through work, knowledge, people, issues related to the body, mind, emotions, physical and mental well being, environmental issues, resource consumption using science, technology, art, music, sports, films, for safer housing, better medicines, reliable transportation, energy availability, laws to handle order and checks & balances. A person who understands this can lead others as well and also provide directions to make a person break free from hell as both heaven and hell are our own creations of the state of our mind.

This is the problem with Muslims, Christians. They consider only themselves who all go to a church or go to mosque or grow beard or do a service in church or go to mecca etc as part of their gangs. Muslims and Christians consider others a kafirs or as non-believers. This is insane. CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS HAD ACTUALLY LOST 99 PERCENT OF WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY TOLD TO THEM BYT HE LORD JESUS CHRIST OR PROPHET MOHAMMED AND HENCE THIS KIND OF CONFUSION AND ALSO THIS KIND OF EXCLUSION MENTALITY. HAD THEY DIDNOT LOST MOST OF WHAT IS TOLD IN THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, THEY WOULD HAVE TREATED OTHERS ALSO AS SAME AS THEMSELVES. But Hinduism AND HINDUS declares that EACH SOUL IS POTENTIALLY DIVINE and that GOD dwells in each and every individuality and this includes animals and plants as well. Its just that the individual doesnot know this truth. The moment an individual realizes this, the person starts treating everyone, irrespective of the material or mind level differences, as own self.

Soft options

Even before the controversy over the film The Love Guru, which has angered Hindu activists, spiritual guru Dr Deepak Chopra was under attack from Christians and Buddhists. In the first of a three-part series on the controversy, Arthur J Pais discovers why Chopra likes to take on fundamentalists.
Hey Deepak Chopra,if you have guts, take on the Muslim fundamentalists.

Christians, Jews, Parsis, Sikhs, Buddhists and Hindus have the same value system in the 21st century; All of them have modernized. They all believe in One-Law, Gender Equality, Uniform Civil Code, Freedom, Democracy and "True" secularism. What matters in life is the intensity of our work and inner fulfillment. Neither archaic religion, nor pseudo modernity can save humanity. People who will continue to succeed, are one's who will cultivate talent, knowledge, action in themselves and in others and seek equality in laws, principles and values. Rest is all waste of time and energy. Life is all about action to know oneself through work, knowledge, people, issues related to the body, mind, emotions, physical and mental well being, environmental issues, resource consumption using science, technology, art, music, sports, films and push for constant betterment and breaking free from mediocrity, stagnation, violence and status-quo; we always need to stand guard against ego, hypocrisy, grief, death, disease in us and masses.

"Christians, Jews, Parsis, Sikhs, Buddhists and Hindus have the same value system in the 21st century; All of them have modernized."

Not all of them. Look at the Kmer Rouge inspired JVP in Srilanka, the orthodox fundamentalist (also Hassidic?) Jews, the Bhindrenwalaists, the Christian Phalangists, the RSS, and even some Parsis who want to preserve their purity by excommunicating inter-marrying Parsis.. the list is long.

The fact is that to us only the Islamists and the RSS sound fundamentalist because they are the loudest and the most violent. But no religious community is free from fundamentalism.

The basic difference between Islam and other religions is that the 'State' does not legalize fundamentalism. For all other religions the State mandates, One-Law, Uniform Civil Code & Gender Equality. RSS is more of a reactionary force.

Bertrand Arthur William Russell a Philosper/mathmatician and Noble Laurete wrote a book "Why I am not a Christian ? It is widely read book !"Religion is based, I think, primarily and mainly upon fear. It is partly the terror of the unknown and partly, as I have said, the wish to feel that you have a kind of elder brother who will stand by you in all your troubles and disputes. [%u2026] A good world needs knowledge, kindliness, and courage; it does not need a regretful hankering after the past or a fettering of the free intelligence by the words uttered long ago by ignorant men."After that many have been copying Russel !All so called Gurus who influence western society follow the Budhdha Doctrine !What Budhdha said more than 2500 years ago is still relevant! All so called modern Gurus are merely copycat of that budhdha doctrine!Playing with words is something and coming with new innovative theolgy/doctrine beneficial to mankind something! Merely saying that I am not Hindu becuase some western are calling him antichrist does not appeal atleast to me!

Undistorted Hinduism is real secularism. The whole civilized world is Hindu. Secularism & democracy are the foundations of Hinduism. Religion is One and is about Human Skills & Values thus developing our Body and Mind, Emotions and Intellect, Creativity and Consciousness. Caste is One & is a life concept distorted by confused people. It means that to live life intelligently we need to effectively balance the 4-forces within - Thinker, Protector, Economist, Worker - and also while governing society. This is all based on natural human intelligence. The roots of the ancient Indian philosophy are secular, logical and universal. The idols are objectives in life: Shiva (freedom), Durga (Strength), Saraswati (Knowledge), Lakshmi (Wealth), Ganesh (Wisdom). Life is God. These Goddesses symbolize the goals of human life. All secular societies practice this. This is same as the US Constitution, the teachings of Confucius, Buddha, Lao-Tzu and those of European renaissance thinkers like Voltaire, Shaw. Every developed country in the world is "truly secular" and has one law, uniform code & gender equality, keeping focus on performance & productivity & excel in life, work & sports.

Indian religions are not based on fears, but on uderstanding the nature, the matter and their relationships with the universe.
Bertrand Russell was ignorant( was very arrogant) about Eastern religions. He was a racist of a kind. He wanted to drop Atom bombs on the Soviet Union to destroy the non-Anglo-Saxon power. He has no understanding of anything which is non-Western.
There are many similarities between Christianity and Indian religions, because Indian religions with Hinduism ( or Sanatan Dharma) is the core. That was explained to the West first by Raja Rammohan Roy, who has influenced some of the greatest minds of the West ( Emerson, Humboldt, Whitman and a few others).

It's amazing to see how people are tied with their religion but not the real God and spirituality.

Can anybody claims that his/her religion teaches hate, violence, and inhumanity. Everybody will say that his/her religion is for peace. Then why the same person is ready to go against religion by indulging in hate and violence
