I agree with most of the responses. Shah Rukh Khan is the most over-rated actor. He is a media-created hype, who tries to step in the shoes of the greats (and stoops to low levels of mimicking) when he is not even 0.000000000000000001% of their talents and capabilities. His acting skills are monotonous and very very predictable.
It is really strange that Rediff takes Amir's name, but not Shahrukh's. I guess Shahrukh is a heavy investor in Rediff. Can anyone confirm? Amir is miles ahead of Shahrukh in terms of talent. He is perhaps the most complete actor today.
I doubt if Rediff will publish the results on this survey...as it has for most under-rated actor.
Rediff, put some attractive prize to the lucky winner for answering this , from majority of opinions, u can decide the winner. Then only I am going to tell u, who is overrated.
In this discussion board, 90% of people are saying SRK is most over-rated actor...I would like to say thanks to all of you SRK haters.

Kaliya was going to screend in our city's theatre at 4:00 am midnight and there was announcement at late noght 1:00 am that amitabh's Kaliya is going to be screend at 4:00 am.the city from whr I hails is small city and not like mumbai jo raat me bhi jagti hai....despite of that the show was houseful and it went houseful for whole week.This was obsession of people for Amitabh Bacchan.
Till today AAJ TAK survey says Amitabh is more popular than srk.lets see whr srk will be after 10 yrs.Amitabh has ruled Industry from last 40 yrs.If media wud had been wat it is now then u cant even imagine popularity of bacchan.
and tell me how can u people compare srk wth BIG B neither he has acting potentials of big B nor personality nor dance.so no mean to compare both one is Brilliant ACTOR and other is mere joker.
DON AND KBC 3 are perfect example of joker khan.

hey Sandeep, I like BiG B especialy for role in RGV ki AAg and XX movie Nishabd....Now dont say that one must have courage to do that kind of role....Big B is a real begger, who can do any sort of role for money. And you are giving the example of Kaliya...so I would like to tell you one thing. At the time of release of SRK's movie Mohabbatain, same kind of scene was there in Bangalore at Urvashi theatre.

Sharukh lost his charishma long time ago... Only recently released Chakde india has gave some relief to him..
I think ur in imaginary world by thinking that Sharukh has more popularity.. Stop watching Koffe with karan(Half of the show will be Srk topic).. Come to real world and see the reality.
PPl are expecting aamir kind of movies.. Atleast Hrithik realised that and acting in some good movies..
Compare Ashoka and Jodha akbar..both are challenging roles to both of them.. can you see the differenc in acting capabilities of both.. Hrithik Rocks in that Role and Asokha is like one more sharaukh movie.
If SRK is supposedly the most over rated Actor,Then how come he has given so many block busters?? Who goes to watch his films,ha??

Actors r nt supposed to be tailor made or follow some text book principle of acting.Like every good actor,SRK has his own style which is USP like say AB,Rajesh Khanna or Dilip kumar etc used to have which make movie goer luv to see on the big screen. In any case an actor is only as good as the movie the does & his director ask him to do. Also no actor can portray everything or look good doing all sort of characters,e,g Can Nasirudeen Shah or om puri replce SRK in DDLJ or AB replace Anil Kapoor in topori role in Ram Laxman??even can SRK replace an om puri in Art house movies?? The answer is a firm no.
There is one thing ,i'm pretty sure off, that is while lack of commercial suceess doesnt make a talented actor as a bad actor,but actors who hav commercial success are damn good in the acting skills.
Finally, never under estimate the intelligence of millions of movie goers who spend real money to buy tickets.Thank u.
