How would you know, if you don't know anything about southern states, cinema, or actors. Then please don't come here and waste time commenting, better you comment on sites tht will improve north indian and UP.
It's better to help UP and your amitabh bachan or atleast north indians from warewolf attack from MNS and raj thackeray.

I cannot blame you if you have not heard about Mohanlal, because he is not in politics. Suffice to know he is an actor par excellence, acted in many languages. for more info type Mohanlal and search in google.

Please have some respect for the dead, as mohanlal's father as passed away.
If you don't know any south actor whether mohanlal, kamal hassan, rajinikanth, sathyaraj, mammootty. I know these names seem so funny to north indians, not even close to bollywood names.
But atleast don't comment on something if you ar illiterate while discussing a topic. Seriously, you look like a fool!!!

please be serious in ur answers...i really want to know abt this guy mohanlal?..is he a hero comedian or villain?
CONGRADULATIONS to both Mohanlal and Meera for winning the State Awards. Hope these awards will also help them to clinch the National Awards. Now I look forward to see the movies.
Best wishes for Mohanlal to win the national award for Paradesi. Even Mammootty has a chance for Ore Kadal. I have seen the movie Ore Kadal and Meera Jasmine deserves a second national award for her performance in the film. All the best.

- :-)) Dont make a fool of yourself in the forum..Readers and concerned people will understand my comments.
One of the best actors in the Asian Cinema. Kerala 's best actors have their spectacular image in the cinema. Mohanlal is special. laletan is a perfectionist. strong & his attitude goes with the storyline. The character he does, he plays is admirable in several occasions. Somes untouchable performances in "kireedom", "bharatham", "Guru", "Aaram Thamburan", "His Highness Abdullah", "Thanmathra", "Kalapani", "keerthichakra","paradesi".

malalayalam cinema is the real true cimnema medium which can give meaning and life to the medium.Rest of the parts of India (barring Bengal)produce only crap

Chandramouli is 100% right...Cinema as an art form is presented to near perfection in Malayalam and Bengali (of course there are exceptions)....rest of India produces crap and they r even successful in convincing their audiences that what they produce r good films...am neuther a malayali nor bengali...request ppl not to comment if they don't know abt good cinema...try watching good cinema and learn to appreciate them so that ppl producing films in hindi, telugu, tamil etc will try making good films...
RE:RE:what an actor

I disagree w/you to a certain extent. Tamil films have been producing really good films i.e parthiveran, veyil, mozhi, rameswaram, anjathe, chithiram pesuthadi,etc.. ther ar good balance of art and commercial cinema in tamil.
Unfortunatly, tamil audiences have sections which ar mature and do recognize good cinema and those movies do not get huge successes say a rajinikanth, vijay, ajith, or a shankar movie.
Most commercial movies in tamil do not have good stories, only they put in special effects, songs, dance, vulgar, and hero killing villain at the end. Common ones and they ar huge successes depending on a famous actor.
Howvr, ther ar really good movies w/o the usual hip-hop/pop song-dance, and hero vs villain common themes. Those ar the movie you have to watch out for.
But overall, tamil cinema and malayalam cinema is the best out of all the south indian cinema, not to say tht telugu or kannada ar bad. I liked vanaja(telugu) and that was a good movie, but not "masala" movies.
Admit, hindi movies ar worst, no wonder mani ratnam is bad, he better come to south indian cinema. Who would have thought mani ratnam needed mallika sherawat and for what in the movie? That suprised me, especially mani.

Shows you can't appreciate cinema and generalizing a person based on which state he comes from. Come on, you need to get out of the contaminated well, worm!!!
Don't mix cinema w.bad mouthing a person or state. Grow up, and discuss like NORMAL person about cinema not by resorting to name calling, you look cheap!!!

Sorry for commenting in this forum....thought ppl commenting knew what is cinema.....Terence,from ur comment it's clear that any film sans "special effects, songs, dance, vulgar, and hero killing villain at the end" is a good film...this is what I mean when I say that filmmakers are successful in convincing u that what they make is good cinema...good cinema is much much more than these. I, to some extent, accept that Paruthiveeran, mozhi, veyil, anjaathe, chennai-28, kalloori etc. are "decent" films...in the sense that they genuinely attempt to move away from commercial crap to the "real" cinema...still a long way to go. 'Coz these films lack the refinement or content or character that films like (in tamizh)azhiyadha kolangal, udhiripookal, agraharathil kazhudhai, sandhya raagam, veedu, 16 vayadhinilae, mullum malarum, iruvar (to name a few)etc. have, if u know what i mean. If u feel the films mentioned by u r good, please watch the films by Ritwik Ghatak, Satyajit ray, Mrinal Sen, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Rituparno ghosh, john Abraham, MTV Nair, KG George, Girish kasaravalli, Shyam Benagal, Balu Mahendra, Mahendran etc...most of them from Bengal or Kerala. Their films are a 100 times, 1000 times more refined than the so called "good films" mentioned by u. Watch their films and u'll appreciate good cinema. Not to discriminate anyone...just out of interest that India should make more better films.

Frogs like you need to growup, who thinks that only malayalam movies are good..One has to have the ability to appreciate others work also and should never think like a frog. If you are a normal person, you will understand my word....
RE:what an actor

Pavan, Where did i say malayalam cinema is only good. I hav already grown up from tadpole to a genetic engineered frog, unlike god created frogs.
Don't worry abt my normalcy, since if you have read my comments abt tamil cinema, thn you'll also understand my word tht i don't think malayalam cinema is only good.
FYI, evn the above comment stated not only malayalam cinema is the best but also bengali cinema. So wher in the "well", did u get the idea tht pepul ar only sayin malayalam cinema alone is the best.
All i am saying is instead of resorting to name calling and goin by the rules of the person who insulted you, you shud come up w/better reasons to say tht other cinemas are good and not only malayalam cinema.
