sanjay leela bhansali is the best director in the country..Raja Sen what´s wrong with u?I respect that u r a big srk fan but as a critic pls guide us as viewers on the right path.SAAWARIYA IS A CLASSIC!how can u thrash a SLB film and express ur partial views on a noted website like rediff for a masala entertainer made by farah khan?were u not invited for the premiere of Saawariya?..lolz..u can continue terming srk king khan or badshah but the fact remains he is just another actor nothing more or less!the times of kings and badshah are gone in our country if I m not mistaken india is a democratic country without kings and badshahs so please rate him on his acting .as a good critic we await from u a unbiased review of a film which can help us to understand the nuances of a film better..I mean as a experienced critic u must understand the class and genius of a director like SLB.u say the Story of Saawariya is not that good.tell me whats the story of om shanti om?why do u find it so novel?its a typical b grade masala movie then why does it deserve 4 rating from u?I am really very dissappointed by your reviews on both saawariya and OMO as I find them biased!I have been a big fan of urs and really didnt expected this from u! great work by sanjay leela bhansali. viewers sawariya is very good movie..watch it

I totally agree with you! It does indeed deserve a better rating... no movie needs to be put down here, neither OSO nor Saawariya... I now believe both the movies shouldnt have been released on the same day.. It's evident that SK has a very huge and sold fan base, that gets too protective of him, which is fine. But that in turn works against the other actors/actresses and their movies....
When Ranbir shows his torso, he's being labelled funny things, but when SRK shows his, its a great thing!!!
I don't know how it works, but quite frankly, i think amongst the khans, Aamir Khan is the best! and if anyone should show off their bodies amongst the khans, it'll forever be Salman!
But Ranbir rocked! he's a breath of fresh air for sure!!!
There could not be a worse debut for such a long awaited pair as Ranbir and Sonam Kapoor. I did not meet a single person in the hall who had any good word for the movie. In the dark hall the movie created further darkness.
great excellent movie.. i don't have words to explain how great the movie is OMG am totally out of words and i am into another world i have completely lost my sneses if u want to experience love than this movie is for you SLB once again proved that he's the best director in country. everything fascinates u a lot from the sets, to the miusic, to actors to story it's just the bestttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttmovie ogf this year. Both ranbir and sonam are too good to be true .one can't just beleive that it's their first movie they are born stars with a lot of talent. sona was looking really prety and her acting makes u bleleive in love. ranbir was far excellence he makes u laugh cry. dance OMG he truly proved that he's rishi kapoor's son & raj kapoor's grandson. everyone go watch it & i guarantee u r not gong to be disappointed. a must must must watch

SLB has created a very good set, that would be good for one song picturization, and he has got one good cinematographer as well. So he decided to show the same set through out the movie. As a result he made sawariya.
Now if you really want to see the same set for 2 and half hour, go and have it, but don't complain later.

well smart alec... since the story spans just four nights and a maiden waiting for her lover in the same place, wouldn't it be smarter to have some continuity....for instance, the same set!!!! and it wasn't 2 and a half hours... it was 2 hours 10 mins.

Amit, one thing stikes me as obvious : You're an ardent fan of SRK. Nothing wrong with it. But please dont belittle SAAWARIYA or the movie's director. I am sure Saawariya will outrun OSO in terms of boxoffice collections. Watch Out!! Superhit ==> SAAWARIYA
saw it yesterday SLB is now overconfident thinking watever he will made, we will fall for that, definately its my own opinion, but i dont like it. one set movie, poor story, good acting, must say,but impact is lost somewhere. looks more like a beautiful stage drama, from some arts college students, back from shakespear era. who in todays world want to c this all. also i dissaprove of climax.sonam goes to salman.what rubbish. such a beautiful pair of 2 new young people and such a waste. hopeless. not recommended...ranbir is best.. sonam ok...salman worst in few mint appearance. SLB worst
Let this message reached to SLB for giving such a boring film, disappointed poetry and below average performances of new comers and at the end waster to time and money
Saawariya is a really good film. It's not perfect but enjoyable. Certainly better then OSO. Musis is good. Songs are hummable and poetic. Picturisation is nice. Ranveer and Sonam have done commendable job and certainly I didn't find Ranveer 'painfully exaggerated and moronic'. Towel song (that particular scene)was unnecessary but overall film is good.

i agree with you on most of the things... except the towel song...believe me, it's made a lot of girls happy... including moi.
