i think movie is good. Ok, lot of emotions but i think emotions handled pretty well. amitabh is again too good but what abt shefali? she is just brilliant. overall a hit movie for me atleast.
I dont understand why rediff.com is doing all this? few days back rediff introduced a debate "Is Amitabh is overexpoed?" my god, wat type of question is this?
If amitabh doesnt play any roles, then also u criticise, if he play good roles then also u criticise..some tried to compare him with rajesh khanna, shatrugn sinha and shahrukh khan...(no doubt they are also good actors)....I just want to ask u people, is amitabh only an actor?
do u think an actor may be so popular host like in "kaun banega crorepati" and he has ability to make people glued on television sets, do u thik an actor can be so much popular at age of 63?
do u rememeber any actor who was so much successful at this age and getting mainstream roles? any actor who has guts to draw audience to theatres bcoz of him only.
If Amitabh is popular , its not bcoz of media (or overexposure), but people themselves want amitabh to see in those roles and ads and they will continue to do so till they themselves start hating that.
tell me any other actors who did almost everytype of role and still doing ? be it comedy, tragedy, serious, romantic, art, commercial, social, war, ,action, adventure, AB rules!!!!!!

hi, i am agree with u,this type of debates are merely a wastage of time as Ab is a mega super star and this type articles are only to attract visitors to the website,why are you cricising ab to popularize youe website,i think all AB fans will be agreed with me.
I think WAQT was a OK movie but it would have been a great movie if Vipul Shah could have cut down on the songs. Once again, AB performed excellently in a movie.Good thing about Vipul is that he does dare to experiement.
I strongly think that no other actor, including the Hollywood greats, has peformed so many different roles successfully like Amitabh has!!! Just for an example think about Aankhen, Waqt, Khaki and Black from recent times to know what I mean!!! Media can not make an actor successful....It takes AB to do so.

The movie is not 2........... gud not 2......... bad. It's so so.The first half is gud n u'll not no ven intermission starts.the second half is tooooooooooo borin
Please try to ensure that your reviewers use correct English for their reviews. Here are a few examples of outrageous use of English.
1. "Team funnymen Boman Irani and Rajpal Yadav together and you are assured a barrel of laughs. No problem there."
Your reviewers seem to think that writing in English is the same as speaking in English, with incomplete sentences ("No problem there" is not a complete sentence in itself, though it is often used in spoken English).
2. "Yes, I blame myself. For not being able to relate. Here's why."
Why does one need to fragment a sentence into pieces when there is no need to?
3. "This papa don't preach, he's a peach."
This might sound "cool" but it is incorrect, for the reviewer has his singulars and plurals mixed up!
Websites and web portals can use good English and be "cool" at the same time. BBC's website is an instance of the above.
Rediff, please have a periodic review of your reviewers. It is about time you did a quality check.
first time every i think that rediff review has failed. Waqt, according to many other famous sites, has been reviewed as a "Classic Father-son drama." but i can tell that u dont understand father son relationship. that is my opinion, because this movie is all about family and only for people who has family. this is why there should be two reviews for this movie: one for people who dont have family(like this review) and one for people who has family
WAQT IS NOT A PART OF ANY RACE , It wins hands down , this movie is dedicated to every parent and every child !!! , there was not a dry eye in the house !!! , Keep it up Mr.Vipul Shah , hope we can see more movies like these !!!
Hi, I was planning to watch Waqt on sunday with my friends since last week. But your review just changed my mind & decided to see the movie on pirated vcd that is easily available. But after watching the movie i felt screwd by u rediff people & hopefully Film Industry too will be feeling the same. You always finds negative points in movies then why don't u try ur hand in bollywood. There is already a scarcity of hits in Bollywood this year. Only Black & Page3 have hitted the bull's eye so far & hopefully lucky may be a hit too. So publishing those negative reviews is affecting bollywood badly when the industry is already facing crisis. If the movie is too bad still u should mention some positive points as every thing in this world has some qualities in it. And in the case of Waqt it is good family entertainer. Prfomances are good, Akshay has justified his role completely and it's hard to find a flaw in Amitabh. I don't know how come u declared it worse movie.
I am not very sure about terms but i think there is a differnce between reviewer & critic. reviewer job is supposed to produce comments on the what movie is all about and what do it offers. It is critic's job to find the flaw in movies. So if this is all what u says review it's ironical & u must open a new link of critic in ur movie section to put these reviews. I think ur reviewer have set very high standards that he expects from an indian movie. Then i m giving u a suggestion please go to hollywood & write reviews only for hollywood's movies & leave we nonintellectual people on our fate. It was very clear from the promos of movie that it is going to be emotional drama & the same it served. Perfomance are good. Every person has different taste but this critic thinks he is the best person to judge which movie one should go & which they don't. And ya one more thing that i rmbr is 4 years ago u have published very outstanding reviews for YEH KYA HO RAHA HO because director(or writer,not sure) of that movie had been associated with you before doing this movie. And that movie was just average in perfomance & storyline & flop at box office. Contd. see part 3..
Lots of other messages criticizing ur review should make u realize that u have published an unfair & perhaps biased review. Isn't it a shame for u. I have decided not to trust Rediff reviews in Future. These are my personal opionions as i was feeling very deceived. I may not be right somewhere and even my writing skills are not upto standard so readers please correct me if i m wrong.
