From Which U all get Electricity?
by ash on Mar 26, 2008 02:40 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hey guys, I'd like to ask u this? From which source do u all get electricity?
Water & air are negligible!!
Coal & Oil are the main Source.

Coal has less Calorific Value compared to oil & emits lot of Ash & smoke... Big Pollution!!

Don't think when "Just your vehicle is not exhausting the whole process is eco friendly!"

If u care for environment, Plz try to save your electricity bill... That is really a huge task.. instead of posting a message as if u care a lot... Plz

One wind mill generates 5-7MW of electricity. All our coastal towns can have wind-mills in the sea as UK has started doing it. 100 wind mills costs 100-150 crores and can generate 5-700mega watts. Each car consumes only 3kw/hr. So here's an eco friendly way to get power.

Appreciate the Efforts
by Jagadish TA on Mar 22, 2008 12:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Ppl...

Instead of criticizing, appreciate the efforts that the ppl have put to bring an environment friendly car at such an economical price.

Few years back, you might have heard of REVA.. another Battery run (Green )car... however the price was astronomical 2.5 Lacs...
Compared to it, this is a much better option to drive in a city.

Kudos to the team and Wish them ALL THE BEST for its success.

Regards,
Jagadish TA

Purchasing a Car
by Stephen Jose on Mar 22, 2008 12:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

First it Car Purchase is an investment, which should provide value for money, DEPENDABILITY - that means a lot - like spare parts availability, ability to get proper repair/service etc etc.
Tata has earned a name.
It would be a waste of good money if an unknown entity tries to market, taking the price point as a cue - THIS is not an IMPULSE purchase.

Car is not investment, isn't it a depreciating asset.

You are right. It is a depreciating asset only. While depreciating it provides u utility. Just like a candle while burning it povides light to us. We have to buy certain assets for our consumption and mainatanance also. Every expenditure can not be viewed fom investment angle.
