They can not work as a normal pen. It is only to display to others. If they want to write down something they other pen (possibly a pen of worh rs.10-100)
The 11th Expensive pen is the one that you cant find in your own house when you have to write down a message or an important number while talking on the phone. It must have been on the table till yesterday but when you want to write something it wont be easily found.

I do agree, why people overlooking our need and make some news which even cannot be used to keep in memory. no Indian has capacity to think of buying except one ot two giant businessman, hence we should have such news to read and waste our time.
My friend got me Cartier watch for my marriage about 2 years back. Its a screw type and worked only till last week. Now it doesn't run for more than 5 minutes after a full screw.
I incidentally asked my friend how much it cost. He said roughly Rs. 75,000.. I would have bought 15 titan watches and wore them all my life!

Your Friend must have given you a FAKE watch. Ask for the waranty card and reciept. Such companies they stand by their product and give 1 year warranty. You can get it replaced. As far as I know the cheapest cartier watch costs more than 1.5 lakhs before tax. Carier watch has been in business since 1847, and if the quality was not good they would not have survived. Where do you live in India and I will let you know the address of AUTHORIZED RETAILER here itself or go to their website and click on Customer service.

Dear Shiva, These kind of articles only allow you to brag to your friends that you are wearing a Rs 75,000 watch. They can show you the same time as a Rs 1000 watch.( By the way,CXartier watches are much more expensive. Yours could be a Chinese made Cartier replica. Have good times !!!!

The right thing to do is to wind the watch, not screw it!
The most expensive part of the watch is the crown, which is what you turn while winding it. If that is broken, you will need to spend a lot of money - say, about 8,000 rupees to get it fixed.
Important to remember is that if that watch is genuine, once you repair it (and don't screw it any more) you can probably sell it to a collector for a handsome profit.
These watches are not meant for knowing the time - for that you can use a Casio or something. These watches and pens are like jewelery - things you admire, wear 5 times a year and keep in a showcase.
