what he means is that u must go buy the book... just becoz u got internet doesn't mean that u get books with a link..
His view defies logic. The vast increase in numbers also means an everincreasing number of uneducated simply because demand far outstrips resources. We would have today got the same number of enterpreneurs and leaders in every field and less farmers committing suicide had our numbers stabilized at independence year levels, aprt from better cities, housing, etc.
Mr.Nilekani has given food for thought, but definitely NOT food for the masses. Dear Sir, there is always the other side to a story, I wish you could realise that.

No dude, Sreehari was obviously talking about the inanely stupid comment of Nilakeni that population growth is good.
In Rural India, with over 70% population, not even 10% will go on to complete their graduation
This mass of unskilled labour, is not human capital, but human burden........
With quota mongering policies in place, net investment on education will remain minimal
With retrograde Islamic practices in place, 15% of the population will remain a human burden
With the surge of unemployment in this predominantly unskilled and semi skilled class more social tensions
The greater the young people, the greater is the reproductive rate of a population. It just forms one vicious circle. The National Population Policy's goal of population stabilization by 2045 is delusive
How can a person like Nandan Nilekani claim that increasing population has become an asset for India? It seems that corporate people are unable to access the true situation in our country.........

He seems to nothing. How can parents affoedto have kids, when at least 90 percent of Indian kids are abused in someway by their parent. Its time for our Govt. to take strong measure against child abuse and increasing population, where 70 percent of the population is iliterate.
