Myth of Human Capital
by Saurav Basu on Jun 13, 2008 10:22 AM

In Rural India, with over 70% population, not even 10% will go on to complete their graduation

This mass of unskilled labour, is not human capital, but human burden........

With quota mongering policies in place, net investment on education will remain minimal

With retrograde Islamic practices in place, 15% of the population will remain a human burden

With the surge of unemployment in this predominantly unskilled and semi skilled class more social tensions

The greater the young people, the greater is the reproductive rate of a population. It just forms one vicious circle. The National Population Policy's goal of population stabilization by 2045 is delusive

Can BPO and IT jobs sustain a nation?
