India would require 500-600 thousand MW of power by 2030 up from 132,110 at present. Thus nuclear power is the only way forward for India. Energy needs of India are increasing exponentially and only nuclear power is the way forward. Increased price of oil and gas internationally, issues of climate change associated with coal as well as the breakdown of consensus on big dams, India needs Nuclear Energy. India generates 132,110 lakh MW of power annually. Of this, 64.7 per cent is generated from thermal power, 26.2 per cent is generated through hydro electric power, 5.9 per cent is from renewable power sources and only 3.1 per cent through nuclear power.Nuclear power would contribute 10 per cent of the country's energy needs by the year 2022 and 26 per cent of the needs by the year 2052. Share of nuclear power in world wide energy production was one per cent in 1960 and between 1960 to 1986, it rose to 16 per cent of world's energy production. The share has remained constant since then. There are 439 nuclear power reactors operating around the world and the US accounts for 104 of these reactors followed by France at 59, Japan at 55, Russian Federation 31 and Republic of Korea 20. Out of the 35 new nuclear power plants under construction in the world, Asia accounts for 24 of these. While China is building six new nuclear power plants to get 5,222 MW power for its grid, India too is building six such plants which would add 2910 MW of to its grid.
Q. Why Trust Vote on Nuclear Deal, which is the Need of the Hour and a matter of national importance?
Friends, why is the GOI disturbed on this contentious issue..? Why don't they reveal details on the following points: (1)The LOSSES being incurred by us on account of our closed Nuclear plants because of the non availability of the enriched Uranium fuel as on today (2)The quantum of additional non stop power supply that will be available after the deal is thru, from the existing as well as new atomic plants (3)We are told that at least 400 companies will be immediately benefited by this deal and many more will also jump into the fray (4)Amount of employment that will thus be generated out of the envisaged expansion of industry and agriculture, because of non stop Power supply (5)The Amount of income generated in Billions of Dollars every year thru such increase in overall output of Industry & Agriculture. (6)Merge the quantum of such LOSSES being incurred as on today, with additional INCOME generated thru increase in Industrial & Agriculture Production (7)What will be the net gain, after taking into account the Investment that we will be incurring over the years on the supplies of Nuclear Fuel? (8) An energy gap of 240,000 MW in 2031-32, which is far more than India’s entire installed capacity today. Nuclear energy alone can fill this gap. The gap —and India’s need for nuclear energy — will keep rising in future decades.

(9)Add: what is the loss being incurred by the country's Exchequer on account of the increase in Prices of Crude Oil as on today and further expected to rise as nobody can trust them. They have been taking the world for a ride. They never gave us Oil at a special price. (10)Already 1900 Oil pumps have been closed down by Reliance. Why, because of the LOSSES incurred by them. This has also resulted in unemployment to many. Our fledgling aviation sector has suffered and automobile sector will also suffer. Transport and services sector will also be severely effected. (11)Government is paying for the additional cost of OIL, through its nose; otherwise the rate of inflation would cross from existing 11% to 25% (12) Besides all this the quantum of the additional perks and benefits that we will be getting in being associated with the developed nations of the World.
(13) We have supported the Arab world enough only to be saddled with more burden on account of Oil Prices, Four wars, untrustworthy neighbors and also perpetuating terrorism in our backyard. What is the cost of the being associated with the Arab world? They employ our experts as and when they need them but whenever they want they expel them back to India. Not once has America sent back the Indians even if the relations between the two countries were strained many times.

Not once has America sent back the Indians even if the relations between the two countries were strained many times. Moreover, the recent explosion in Afghanistan at the Indian embassy is a live example of the losses suffered by us for the support we are rendering to the Arab world. (14)If we examine in detail we will realize what is good for us…!! Let all those who oppose the Nuclear Deal be expatriated to the Arab World..!!
My humble request to Manamohamn Singh to disolve the Lok sabha and declare election He is not going to loose anything and he cannot become again PM as there are many within the party and other party Thus save the time and remove the tension
There will be a boom in snatching, robbery and burglary because 5 Southern states are facing DROUGHT of the CENTURY till 20-07-08. Maharastra has already declared that this drought is worse than that of 1972.50% of the Maharashtr is parched. The same is the case in other southern states. Places in South India where the rainfall has been about 30 cms a year have hardly got 9 cm of rainfall. June July is peak season. If there is a cyclone which the farmers are begging to their dieties then there will be no problem. The monsoon is playing hide and seek game but our great economists will talk of boom in GDP to 12% and all. Even an old farmer in the drought hit states says the the worst days are yet to come because next rains can be expected only in June/July of 2009. The water table has gone down to such an extent that there is no water even at 300 meters down in many of the Southern states who contribute the most to the GDP. When there will be DROUGHT of the CENTURY how do you expect a boom in economy is a million dollar question?

The drought is because of poor rainfall. But an equally important fctor is the proliferaion of electric tubewells. This is becase of all the free electricity schemes the govt has in the rural sector- people leave the pumps on since it is free.
Consequently the water table has dropped across the State making it difficult for agriculture. This is exactly the thing your hated economists were warning about..but we (the govt of maharashtra et all) did not listen.
Reform these subsidies- target them to the needy only, replace them with a simple smart card that allows for discounts on agricultural inputs in lieu of subsidies, and price electricity at it's real cost. That
BRING MAYAWATI OF U.P. AS PRIME MINISTER AND ALL THE ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL PROBLEMS OF THE COUNTRY WILL BE SOLVED IN A JIFFY AS SHE IS A PAST MASTER IN FINANCIAL MANIPULATIONS.
I fully agree that Indian politics should free itself completely from the shackles of communism and indian public should send a strong clear msg in the forthcoming general elections that communism is no longer required in the country and send all the presently elected members back home. with the winning of the trust vote, definitely india should open up the economy; take the development seriously to the people for their benefit.

I am not a commie but I want to put forward my views as follows: 1. We donot know why both of the parties went for a Common Minimum Programme. There should have been an election again in 2004. Just to keep BJP out there were strange partners. So every intelligent Indian should have understood that it is a question of time when the separation occurs. The main aim was to keep BJP out or else BJP could have formed the government and faced the same situation of confidence vote. 2.Why blame the commies who were never in the coalition but they have every right to show their displeasure. Even in the national parties lke Congress and BJP there are rebels and they will vote for or against. Nobody will speak against them. Definitely not because they will come in front of your house and question. 3. Each time calling commies as irresponsible people does not appear good. They are also elected members and have not entered parliament through backdoor like our PM and GS of CPI-M. 4. When you consider the votes of each party no party has got more than 30% of the votes polled by 40 to 50% of the voters from the voters list. 5. It is one billion people who should be asked to vote rather than 500 and odd. 6. This is why I say we have one of the worst democracies of the world where one can talk in general blah blah in empty stomach but if we say a particular politician is wrong, one had it - kidnapping, threats etc. 7. When Mr. Vajpayee lost trust vote, MPs said 'Let anything happen'.
The message to the world should go that we are future looking country and we should bring more people friendly policies. The N deal is not an issue to make in parts.
