Why are you asking only TCS to cut salary. TCS guys are just not responsible for this price rise. ASK all IT companies in India to reduce salaries

absolutely correct...these IT boom is now at its peak...and no more growth but can xpect declination only..now the fittest one will survive...lets c wat will happen...
Hi, I currently work for a large IT services company. Before joining this entity 4 months, I worked for 3 years in an equally large IT services company. I have worked for 13 years in the old economy, with companies, whose revenue is much more than the net profits of most IT companies. This reduction in variable pay is a welcome step, as variable pay is supposed to be variable. Although I am from this industry, it is high time we put a full stop to the mercenary attitude of most of the IT professionals
i am PG in Engg & i work for Govt sector in my own district . put lot of hard work still still sociaty including my near one thinks i am looser just because i don't opt for IT sector job! reasons given by them 1) all of ur friend have home in Big city which i can't buy with my salary 2)they are able to c whole world with there job and i can't 3)all of them buy car i didn't 4)they don't have problem to find Girl for marriege 5)and so on .............. am i really poor?

No manohar. Not at all. I can Understand Because you are at a better position than US IT people. As of Now we are totally dependendt on the job that comes from outside(US, UK, Etc.) some day they decided to stp outsourcing because of some new rule by the new political parties.. Then we are jammed up with no options left. As of the society i have seen and felt tht the people around always tend to know somebody with a better package and life than us. So just give a damn care attitude towards such guys trying to bring down your moral. Take care

If one is in the Govt sector that means half work and full salary. But in the private IT companies you have to work like a worker and not like a Sarkari engineeer. They are working and earning when Govt employees won't work properly and will not respect the public. So you have won over them.

Then why don't you enter IT field ? You may a PG in Engg, but I think you must be having poor academics, poor IQ which are essential for any IT professional. This must be the reason for you to avoid IT field. Being an Engineer, no one in India can afford to forego the chances of getting rich, buying car, going abroad
It has nothing to do with EVA. It is just because some money need to go to TATA Motors for sponsoring the inevitable loss from Nano. TCS always feeds other Tata Son Companies.

Don't expect that always one's management will take care of the employees. If they have, then only they can give. Putting TCS money into Nano project is a nonsense. Tata Steel and Tata Motors were there even before TCS was born.May be with Tata Motors money TCS was made and the employes were fed in the beginning. If you doubt Tatas like this then what will be the verdict for smaller ones!
This is misleading ... I am not a TCS employee, but I can understand that this is not a salary cut rather a roll out of lesser variable pay for the employees. Variable pay is a % of the company profits and if there is any quarter where company doesn't do well in profits, the variable pay component takes a bit of smacking...

Every IT company has variable pay and they cut or add based on profit..dont create stories out of nothing!! please we have better news to discuss.
TCS is already having a dubious distinction of paying poor salary. Now with salary cuts, IT people will have to adjust with pickle rice, bread and cornflakes at onsite also. And in India we may not be able to afford cars/bikes, shopping malls, multiplexes etc. We have to depend on RTC buses, kirana stores, rythu bazaars etc. Better to quit company

Gultis and tamilians at onsite eat bread, pickle rice, cornflakes at onsite also to save money. especially if you are from TCS. So there should not be a problem.
