Way to go Nano.... Why only rich people should deserve the best? TATA's has made Indians proud..Any country will face similar issues with congested roads etc... let Govt react and make plans for good infrastructure... things will cool down once we have basic infrastructure in place... dont need to be worried with few americans moaning about environment... they r the biggest screwers of earth's environment..
This is a vital bridge that reduces the distance between the rich and the middle class. And other innovations will follow to bridge the gap between poor and the middle class. Well done India . Long live India.
The whole world knows which country is the biggest polluter in the world. It's US my US friends!!! Now Tata is claiming that NANO will follow all the Env.norms i.e. BHARAT 3 or EURO 4,where does the criticism stand? Since Nano will be less pollutor than two-wheelers,it's better choice as well. The whole world is still surprised about it's cost and all developed countries are feeling threatened also by Rising Tata.Gone are the days when we used to depend upon them for technologies.Tata will soon be a leader in Euro market after it's take-over of ill-performing JAGUAR and LAND ROVER.Our country will no longer be DUMPING GROUND OF THEIR SECOND HAND CARS.

It is CHUCK DE INDIA ERA. DON'T CARE FOR ENEMIES AND GO AHEAD TO CONQOUR THE WORLD
Ratan Tata lived upto his promise. A promise well kept under the circumstances even wading through stiff competition. Its a laudable achievement and a dream came true. Hope its performance will match its price tag and will not disappoint the public. People may be of the view that quality would have been sacrificed for price. It was not so as reports suggest that it is no inferior to other small cars. Skeptics and critics may view it differently that this car will add to the ever growing menace of parking in public places besides adding to the pollution. All said and done, TATA, as a true Indian made India proud. A feat rarely achieved. World has just woken upto to take notice. But even the likes of Suzuki came out with a statement that they are not prepared to make any smaller car than Maruthi-800. Perhaps there will be no competition to the TATA as the other small cars will suffer in the long run, if more and more companies join the fray to make similar car. I wish TATA are left alone so far as this small car is concerned and let other companies concentrate in other segments which is doing fairly well. TATA should assure the public that there is no hidden cost other than taxes as people fear that though the basic model may cost Rs.1 lak, the dealers may ask for more for added service. TATA should allay this fear of the public before launching commercial of the vehicle. The car produced in any number will surely be sold out on first day itself, forcing TATA to produce more.
The Tata NANO is a winner. When more people start criticizing a product then it should be understood that it is getting noticed. Anyways the US and its cronies are always going to cry silly whenever a path breaking product is invented in the so called 3rd world country (as per G-7 countries). Try convincing the US to abandon big engined vehicles such as hummer, SUVs,corvettes, cadillacs & harley davidson and they would faint and oppose it as invasion of "American Rights & liberties". Just imagine what would happen when America's arab cartels stop selling oil to them, the US will try to either beg oil from ex-soviet union or launch a war on them for protecting American rights and liberties. As per "Jay Leno" an average American wastes more water while brushing teeth & flushing then probably an entire appartment block full of people use for its daily needs in "under developed India". Now tell me who is under-developed or downright 3rd world in its approach.
When they write against anybody else's achievement, the abuse themselves because they are jealous & ashamed that they could not achieve it.Global warming is an issue which started 20 years before NANO is born. As our saints say " take it as an complement rather than a criticism".India & real Indians do not abuse anybody but are more nature loving for thousands of years.we are ready to learn more out of criticism & try to make real development, not like Amirkans who are only Amir in wealth & not minds.
because its meant for us Indians and other probably 2-3 years later some other developing countries might get to see the NANO. US will get to see the NANO only in photos/videos and when they come visiting to india. We dont care a bit of what they think of our car. There wasnt even a need to post such an article.

This car is not intended for those hypocrites. Tata clearly said that this car will be only for India, Some parts of (Wetern America, Europe and East Asia)
I would be even happier if Tata's could invest towards making the battery based cars and use that technology in the next versions of the NANO. That will be a big leap.. As of now we get REVA cars which are green which are very expensive. If the NANO cars could be equipped with the green electronic technology it would be a giant leap towards eco-friendliness and green revolution !!

Thats excellent News. I would love to have one such car which is affordable and green. It would revolutionize the entire auto market. Who would like to buy the expensive fuel.
It's not a cheap car. It is vehicle of majority middle class people.
Developing the roads, infrastructure and public transport facilities will the responsible of our government.
Every one having car is a great thing. But the people should travel comfortable with public transport in their routine. Public transport system should be improved immediately before our roads get full of vehicles.
Only an advice to the Americans ! You can't resist from commenting on the NANO but you definitely can resist from BUYING ! Watch the car go the entire globe minus USA
