I urge someone who is in charge at the Delhi airport to take note of these observations. human loss is irreplaceable. lets not put livers into danger for someone is lazy and relying on good luck to avert dangers. at last there is this article that calls for something to be done not when something has happened but when it can happen. tomorrow may be too late like benazir bhutto we may not be lucky everytime and everyday...........

This is the problem with India and Indians . Start something without being prepared for it . Liberalise the skies without creating the infrastructure . Liberalise car production without creating / improving road infrastructure .

If you think there are no roads in Indian Metros.. blame the urbanisation not the government.. Look at Paris, London, Tokyo and New York.. same apathy.. first world countries..

RE:Hey, ask Jadhav how safe are the Mumbai roads !

Listen the FACT, we INDIANS drive like MANIAC, reason is ROADS are not good enough, now i am pretty sure after staying in Maharashtra, that the roads may not be like FIRST WORLD, still they are quiet good given we are developing, but still look at the accidents.
In your words, the roads were safe first untill we Indians started DRIVING !!
This is the attitude of the people who are involved. Till no accident occurs, people would be happy. As soon as something happens, a blame game would start. Ultimately nothing would come out of it and people would escape. This is what is called Indian attitude "chalta hai". In fact, the minister of civil aviation himself said that there is nothing such as 99% safety. If no accident happens, safety is 100% else 0% Anyway, he would NOT resign if accident happens

U r right. Civil Aviation Minister will only look after his interest in pocketing kickbacks from aircraft manufacturers and contracts given for airport expansions. Why should he care for the Public.

First the Civil Aviation Minister should be sacked who knows nothing other than buying new aeroplanes and then his mentor Sharad Pawar, who is BCCI President and doesn't know how to hold a bat. These people are jeopardising the lives of the citizens of this country.
as usual - the adminstration and authorities are sleeping over serious matters. only after a major accident takes place - will they wake up and then take some action and then as usual some big inquiry [ no action will be taken against anybody ], a big report of maybe a few hundred / thousand pages and after some time everything as usual - as things were going on previsouly. yeh hai mera india. no value of life..... lest bothered. some days back there was a strick of the airport employees as they were against privatisation. if airports are privatised then how will these ' nikam me log ' get hefty salaries without doing any work. whenever you are travelling - just see the staff loitering around.... situation is indeed pathetic.
I am a reguar flier and has witnessed such incidents too often . Now i am not bothered as my company had insured me for a huge sum with a company that processes lightning fast.
One immediate solution that strikes me is tha the Mumbai auto rickshaw drivers have better capacities in avoiding such risks and still land the craft. They can take as many as turns as possible and avoid collisions and there by making our travel and skies more safer.

Good thinking mate, all in your endeavour to get good claim from insurance company...! Hope your family will soon be able to put the insurance claim and will become millionare.
BTW, for your information, you can also claim your family to claim from airlines too. They too provide the some money.....

Good thinking but think of physics and momentum and you will see that the skills are rendered useless with commercial aircrafts.

on the contrary, Indian skies are safer than ground 'cos auto rickshaws are yet to fly. Although they try to do this stunt on the ground, but have never succeeded :D:D

Hey Rajni saaar did that innumerable times.
Traffic collision avoidance system must be made mandatory in airlines operating in india . It is the norm in developed countries . this prevents head on collision (or from any direction). it alerts the pilot team 45 seconds ahead of collision . i am not sure if indian avaition authotiry is enforcing this . it saves thousands of lives

TCAS or ACAS is mandotory in India since 2001. Having TCASs installed in all aircraft does'nt quite substitute for discipline or rather the lack of it. The end of woes our airports and our skies are facing will come only when the government improves aviation related infrastructure on a war footing.

FYI this happened after the mid air collision over Haryana. I think in all the incidents where mid air collision was avoided it is TCAS which may have warned the pilots.
