Simple yaar... Let us come out of our dreams and live in reality. Let us feed people in villages first... Let us firt give them employment so that they would have money to go to a bank to deposit or whatever...
Guess companies like TCS should practice first all they want to preach... Are their key leaders great or smart managers themselves? Answer this first... Any body coming out of IIM would give an equally flamboyant answer to this question with all the technical jorgans strewen evenly across his 500 word answer... Jokers...

I agree, today especially in India all wants to become manager, poor in technical skills, low prodoctivity compared to china, he/she works as software engineer and plans to take MBA with a big dream and join tooth paste company after MBA as sales manager -:)
Dear frends beware that in more captains and few rovers we never win any race !!!
Also we are commiting suicide by switching career, paying higher rates to not worthy property and thus asking higher pay at the organisation. In near future all will realise this, please wake up, be smart NOT Dumb IT professional!!!
The history states that first step is always difficult to take, but once you are on your first step you pick your second instantly. The success of universal bank in rural area can be achieved by making network, networks of technology and network of peoples. There should be one branch that will cover villages in periphery of 5-6 km, that will be like a central node to this rural network. Each village should have two agents, one should be backup, these agents will collect money, teach villagers about the new bank offers and help villagers who hesitate to deal with banks. All agents will communicate with central node bank and these banks will communicate with nation wide networks. Now comes the technical aspect of operation. The bank timing needs to be extended by few hours to log all the transactions made by local agents on behalf of villagers. once we have foothold in villages and win over villagers confidence we can enhance the existing operations by providing the agents with communicating devices which can log the transaction directly to the server so that we can reduce the bank timing. As of now villagers hesitate in taking loans from bank, but once they start communicating with agents and banks, we can start developing faith and long term relationships.
