Hi Friends..., It should be something like Right is Right and Wrong is Wrong. Either it may be told you by your Boss....Those bloody BOSSES either they may be from Andhra / Gujarat / Mumbai or any damn place does not make any differance... So, for me Boss is Gali ka Kutta, sometimes it also barking on somebody who is known to them...!!! LOL...!!! Anyways, Have only expressed my views...!!! Keep posting...!!! Regards, -- [AD]
I hope It is wildly manipulated system. Tell me what happens when one corporator in the corporation is simple, loyal, (not-chor) all good habits implanted in the body & soul of him/her falls into a net of corporators with right opposite habbits having different degree of levels. Would that single corporator live in your 360 deg. system? Think Deep, you would find the answer and would help you scrap your crap 360 deg. system which is just an eye-wash (I have undergone that system's green channel and scanner channel, therefore I am so bold to declare it). These are just marketing gimmics in other words. Remember a simple nature rule "Big Fish always eats Small Fishes". With regards, Harkishan Haswani PS: Please excuse me, if I am found blunt in opinion - take it as a fact of life & world/universe.
Sorry, I disagree. Rule no. 1 still applies. For most of us, changing jobs every time we have differences with our bosses is not an option. A job is not a democracy, and in a disgreement with the boss, who is right and who is wrong is absolutely immaterial.

You are mixing up the issue- here it is Authoritative, Physically intimatading and Abusive Bosses, which are not difficult to find (take just the Times of India case described by a man below your message). Hope you get a clarity in your mind before you mix up and pen down.
A case in Times of India, this female reporting person used to do all the work with physical force and high handedness (she was physically muscular and well built too). She, in most instances was brainless, except for Sychophancy, which she used to do religiously with her Boss. With the help of this Sychophancy, she continued to hold place in Times of India, eventhough being physically and verbally intimitading and frightening and not adding any thinking value to her reportees' thinking or work. India has a few such cases as well...
Leaders who show more concern for people than work may succeed initially because they become popular with them. But soon subordinates assume that a good boss will compromise on work part. Moreover it may not be possible to be good to all irrespective of performance of employee. Same boss may behave differently on under similar conditions on some other occasion. There is no textbook solution for it. Western theories of management taught in classes do not fit in our environment.

wow !! discovery of 21st century !!! must be awarded nobel prize
I think this article does not reflect reality. Indian organizations have not developed the mentality of critical assessment of line managers (be it Team Leaders, Managers, Vice Presidents or even CEOs). The moment you challenge your boss you are in trouble in this country. Here inefficiency of the boss needs to be protected at all cost. It is just a dream.
