Last but most important ! Improve railway's health in Bihar. Biharis think that railway is their baap ke jaidaad and they make every train run on their whims.For your information, IR is not allowed to sell their food after entering Bihar just because localites want to do business in trains. There are many illigal train halts in Bihar.Wave your hand and train stops for you.And if motorman doesn't agree to stop they he gets beaten. No reservation rule exists. Even if you have reservation,people will not get up from your births. There are many things to list down and all this is happening because lalu yadav is railway minister. Shame on Bihar !

See its stupid to discuss just about Bihar or any other state at this point. Arre think about the core problem... if you go about the individual problem of each state/region... then the solution wouldnt be reached! And more over only Biharis are not the original culprits.... i have seen all people misbehave in some way or other.....can u neglect this point???

You are getting me wrong here ! I'm not straining individual. Its about the lack of attention It has been happening in Bihar since long back even before lalu became Railway Minister. And after crowning the misitry,the things have gone even worse instead of improving. After all and unfortunately Bihar is a part of India.
See the railway is now a profitable organisation. But wats the main reason behind it?? Its the people of India..... Any doubts...See the methodolgy employed by Lalu is very tricky. I would definitely appreciate that. Like the implementation of certain things like 1) Booking of tickets in advance of 3 months(Woh do ya ek mahine mein kya problem tha!). The clever would understand the point behind! 2) The trick involved behind Tatkal tickets... So I would say again "The formula is same, but the methodology is different"..... But the ground realities are very different. Lots and Lots of things to improve and upgrade! The outer cover of the book is very cute and well designed... but not the actual inner contents(which is more important!!!)

bandhu jab main yeh keh raha hun, you are not with happy with me, I am just saying what people are not analysing. Brother people like us want more security, where our railways lack most, we don't want to see more snacthings, rapes, bomb blasts, passengers without tickets. Also platform tickets should be very expensive, so that only the needy people can go upto the platform, this will help both in security as well as to the people who need someone to accompany like Old passengers can go....

I would also like to add the most important point that 25k Crores money has been earned as profit. But the basic amenities should be improved as my friend Vishal has added.... like the security to women, and overall security in train, .... and yes the minimization of ticketless travel! We are concentrating more on technology rather than at the ground realities!! That shud be but only after the basics!!

Dear Friend Now itself 8 policemen escarded each train.
Providing police security to everyone is not possible.
Mean time we are also take care of this accordingly.
Even In US also lot of looting and other thinks are happening, we as a huge population and poor states it is quite comman, we should take steps to avoid keep gold and Money openly and we should use train clean etc etc.
This is each and every one responsibility.
We should not blame the Minister and the state for every thing.

Human, Travel in second class, and you will know where are the policemen, I had reservation once, but I had to drop the train because there were so many biharis inside the wagon, without reservation , capturing all floor and seats. I know how I missed the train, when approached on railway police man, he said I can't do anything, its rush time, how funny ...isn't it

The final message I could actually extract from the whole forum and discussion i had with some members: 1) WE SHOULD BECOME MORE RESPONSIBLE AS A INDIVIDUAL TRAVELLER. 2) TO IMPLEMENT THINGS .... I DON'T KNOW WHY PEOPLE ARE SAYING lALU SHOULD BE PM, HE IS JUST DOING HIS DUTY MAN, YOU CANNOT MAKE ANYONE PM. LALU IS JUST SHOWING THE PICTURE WHICH COMMON MAN CAN SEE, AND NOT JUDGE. HE HAS INCREASED PROFITS BY MAKING OUR JOURNEY EXPENSIVE. ALL HE HAS DONE IS INCREASED TATKAL QUOTA, SO WHENEVER WE GO FOR RESERVATION, WE HAVE TO BUY TICKET UNDER TATKAL QUOTA WITH TATKAL FEES AND PAY THE TRAVELING CHARGES UPTO LAST STATION, NOT TIL WHERE WE HAVE TRAVEL. I STILL DON'T MIND PAYING EXTRA, BUT WANT TO SEE MORE SECURITY, WHERE WE LACK MOST. I CONGRATULATE RAILWAY TEAM FOR MAKING GOOD PROFITS. AND REQUEST TO USE THESE FUNDS IN A PROPER MANNER.

My friend, you are right but you should know that Railways is managed by Railway board and not by Railway minister. Railway minister has least role in the day to day management of railways including its budget. All credit goes to the board.

Mr. Lalu, Railway Minister, Deffinately you donot know that the Konkan Railway also coming under Indian Railway. if any information you want ask with Mr. Balu about the Konkan Railway.
This is regular 3rd year, that no NEW train or no extantion or no Garib Rath for BHATINDA station, no single train to Kerela/Tamilnadu/chenai??? Bhatinda is 2bd no station in INDIA.

Efficient planning done by Nitish kumar for the six year during NDA rule is what LALLU is cashing on.you dont get dividend within few year,even common man can under stand this. this is always long efficient planning that pays. so if Railways is in profit then credit goes to nitish kumar former railway minister. yaa we can appreciate lallu for carrying the good work done by nitish foward.

whatever it may third consecutive year the train fare remains the same. the is a record. now the fares have been cut. another good record

Lalu Prasad Ji first of take care of the passengers who reserve their birth whether it is ac 2 tier ac 3 tier and even sleeper class, even a passenger has RAC TICKES but births are given to persons who has not even waiting lisr passenger ticket but the YOUR TTE provides births to them by taking huge amount of money as bribe and nobody knows who is he is he a bag lifter or a thief or a some different person I should not mention, even the persons are kept on waiting list but even if you enter the train the lot of births are available inside the compartments,I am giving exanple I was travelling from ypr to nzm on 14 feb 2008 , there were lot of births available up to pune but I was told no births r available up to pune u hv to buy ticket up nzm that also on tatkal Basis, as I hv to go only up to pune insted of paying just about 400 Rs I had to pay 580 150 for tatkal charges, If these matters or not solved nothing can work out. more ever any bodyis entering in sleper class compartment whether is cleaner/ selling tea/coffee/any item,more ever beggers also entering, they are allowed by ttes and RPF Guards who take bribes from them for anything being sold and cleaned by a cleaner who brushes compartments not authorized to do so. I request LaluJi pls wake up and do something for the passengers but increasing trains but take care of the present situation.I hope after going through if is reaching high authority some thing will be decided.

Sir, you r right. I was with my family traveling from rameshwaram (started 4:30 pm) to chennai. Lot of seats were a'lble but the sr. citizen had WL1 did not get the seat and was almost crying who got the seat at around 3AM after paying some GHASS CHARA to Laluji's Team Member (TTE).
