THE GOVT HAS NOT ENOUGH TO CONTROL INFLATION. IT MUST TAKE SERIOUS MEASURES TO CONTROL INFLATION, IF THEY HAVE TO WIN NEXT ELECTIONS. THE GOVT SHOULD FOLLOWING STEPS IMMEDIATELY.
1) STOP FUTURE TRADING ON ALL FOOD ITEMS RICE, DALL, WHEAT ETC.
2) RAID HOARDERS AND SEIZE THE STOCK AND PUT THEM BEHIND BARS.
3) BAN EXPORT OF ALL FOOD ITEMS AND IRON AND CEMENT.
ManuBhai, had dream to become prime Minister of India without wining election he never won any Lok Sabha got nominated for Rajya Sabha and become Prime Minsiter. He is basically Government Servant now he is prime minister what else he want he got everything in life a reward of chamcha giri.....

I think it is a reward for his outstanding turnaround of economy in 91-96 era as FM !! Its good to see that merit counts.
There is no point in just WARNING PEOPLE about the impending doom. WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT? India has a HUGE POPULATION, the successive Govts have DONE NOTHING to reform agricultural sector. They are just playing politics with AGRICULTURAL VOTE BANK.
Unless we do something about it, the crisis will worsen and PEOPLE WILL REVOLT ONE DAY. We will not be able to deal with that then. TWIDDLING YOUR THUMBS IS NOT GOING TO HELP.

now in India the real bhai-bhai relationship is seen only within their own religious communities.
The cause of all this inflation is unwanted money flowing through wrong hands, the UPA has opened a pandoras box, most politicians are billionares in Khadi, the money stinks, they have channeled their money in real estate/industry/trade where ever possible these people have penetrated , the business and trade are hopeless spectators, and confused to see the new competetion from powerful politicians/beauracrats etc. corruption is now the hall mark ,manipulation is the art, fooling people is Business/ the result is "ART OF MAKING MONEY BY THE PEOPLES SEVANTS"
Manmohan singh,the PM is now worried about the silent killer inflation.He is quite right in saying that high inflation shall derail the growth prospects in the coming years.All these four years the the congress was only in deep slumber and never active enough to foresee the problems which they may have to encounter.Instead they have been saying that they are proactive government.This party right from independence always believed in keeping the poor as poor only and never made sincere attempts to get them or lift them from poverty.Instead it believes in divide and rule policy.THe PM,FM, Sonia gandhi,Rahul gandhi,Kamalnath and not forgetting that BCCI minister..oh Iam sorry the agriculture minister Sharad pawar should form a committee and the committee should meet and come out with practical plans to get the nation out of this mess.The committee should draw plans of supplying some essential items thru the PDS to all poor and the middle class (white &pink ration card holders) at the following prices Dhal....Rs 25 a KG( 3kgs per family of four) Coo.oil..Rs40 a kg( 3 kgs per family) wheat....Rs8 a kg ( 10 kgs per family) Rice.....Rs10 a kg( sona masoori 15kgs per fa Rice Rs2 a kg(ordinary 20kgs for BPL famil urad dhalRs 20 kg (2kgs per family) jowar ( rs 4 kg 5 kg per family) chillies, tamarind and other pulses also should be moderately priced and sold thru PDS shops.Its just not enough to waive off the loans, what the farmer needs is a regular inc

These populist, make shift politics is not going to help. We need to REFORM THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR. Open it to competition. LEASE VAST LAND TRACTS to the private sector for free, they will produce something out of it. Let the small farm holders consolidate their small holding for a proportionate share in the CORPORATION, which can run their farms.
Small measures and stop gap POPULIST techniques will only delay the IMPENDING CRISIS. We need to act now.
