The same applies to all the Marathis living outside Maharashtra...should we ask all of them to return back. There are tons of them working in PSUs in CG and MP and jharkhand, mind it there are lakhs of them, and they to keep singing marathi manus there,no one ask them to leave,And if you dont belive me then come out of your room in mumbai and have a look in these states....
But we are not like you, we believe in hard work and comppettion and we can prove to any one at any time.
I will never understand how caome some one can claim regionalism on central job like railways.
Railways is a central company and the exams are not rigged then how come some one can claim for a regional share....IF you have guts then sit in the exam and go based on your merits.
It just about you people being in capable of competing withe the bright minds of Bihar.
Issue is not that Bihar is not having oppurtinty I agreed that there are few oppurtinty compared to Maharashtra...But issue is that there is such a tough compettion that people have to come out from there to look for other options.
So dont blame only Bihar for it its the issue which everyone in the country is facing i.e. less oppurtinites and more aspirant....and if everyone will ask reservations based on the regional basis then I think Marathi people will get alienated from all over India...
Dont compare your agitation with that of tamilnadu as they never beat people who come to work there....or Andhra where everyone is welcomed...
Enjoy

First thing no one is opposed to the presence of "north indians" in mumbai.infact consider the following--
THERE IS VERY LITTLE DIFFERENCE BEWEEN MARATHI AND HINDI..ANY NORTHINDIAN(REFERRING TO A UPITE AND BIHARI)CAN UNDERSTAND MARATHI AND VICEVRSA.
THE HINDI FILM INDUSTRY HAS THRIVED HERE......WITH MANY MAHARASHTRIANS WORKING AS ESTABLISHED ACTORS ...
THE LOCALS HAv NO PROBLEM WITH HINDI AS A LANGUAGE....UNLIKE MANY OTHER COUNTERPARTS IN INDIA...
IT IS VERY UNFORTUNATE SOME RECENT EVENTS HAV BEEN LABELLED AS A "TIFF BETWEEN MARATHIS AND UP AND BIHARIWALLAHS" BUT U MUST REMEMBER THAT THIS ALL STARTED WITH A STREET BRAWL BETN MNS AND SP WORKERS.. I THINK THE MAIN PARTIES RESPONSIBLE 4 THIS R----
THE MEDIA
SENSATION--HUNGRY VIEWERS
STRESSED UP PPL WHO WANT SUM SOLACE IN THE CONTROVERSIES
ABOUT THE RAILWAY EXAMS , WE WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY IF THE EXAMS R CONDUCTED IN FREE AND FAIR MANNER... BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT IS NOT THE CASE....BUT THERE IS RAMPANT CORRUPTION AND FAVORITISM.. FOR EG THE ADVERTISEMENTS ABOUT THE EXAMS WERE ONLY ISSUED IN BIHAR AND NOT ELSEWHERE IN THE COUNTRY !!!WE R AGAINST THIS.... AFTER THIS IF THE BIHARIS GET JOB THEY R MORE THAN WELCOME.. WE MAHARASHTRIANS R INNOVATORS... FOR EG KIRLOSKARS ,VITHAL KAMAT ( FIRST ECOTEL IN ASIA),... THE ONLY PROBLEM IS WE DONT SEEK FAME... WE R MORE BOTHERED ABOUT SPIRITUAL PROGRESS....
ABOUT MARATHIS WORKING ELSEWHERE,LOOK AT THEM THEY HAV TOTALLY BLENDED WID THE LOCALS THEYR NOTSTARTINGPARALLELCULTUE.

Atleast because of people whom you are calling intruders have opened colleges so not all marathi student wander here and there. Why you forget that. 80 % job resereved on the basis of language, what about constitution Mr. Sawant. Better you demand for independent Maharashtra, whats the need to be with India if you can call other Indians intruders. I am son of ex-army man I never knew people like you, otherwise I could have asked my father not to leave us in the country and go to border to protect whole India.

Mr. Thackeray has to demand quotas on the basis of qualification only. However, Mr. Thackeray should also note that Son of the Soil are not only Maharashtrians but also Gujaratis, Marwaris, other ppl born in Mumbai. So , sons of the soil are only ppl born in Mumbai.

yes now no more marathis in any of the central job...only give them job in maharashtra and do not allow them to take part in central job as they no longer follow indian constitution...So they are no more part of India...Lets see how they survive.....Only 1 crore norht Indians will move out of Mumbai and maharastra but I think more then that will be kicked out from all over India.
Lets do it!!

Reservations- a political boon turning societal bane!
by Chakravarthy Muralidhar on Apr 10, 2008 11:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

All the debate on Northie verses MNS has only been used to air rhetorics such as "Mumbai is for all Indians", "Any Indian can go anywhere, earn his living anywhere, acquire property anywhere", "Maharashtra is not for Marathis exclusively", etc, etc. In fact the debates on the mass media were not only immature and banal but almost always useless.

What the TV anchors, so-called eminent personalities and even the politicians and govt mandarins who appeared in these debates missed entirely was to seek reasons why such exodus and mass emigration from states such as UP,Bihar,MP,W.Bengal,etc., on the scale of locust infestation to Western and southern parts of India taking place? Is it merely the ease of mobility offered by good road, rail and air transportation that is the catalyst? Or is it the decay and ultimately crumbling of social and economic drivers in these states caused by an incapable, unethical and even criminal political and administrative class which has usurped power and pelf uniterruptedly for many decades? Obviously,it is a very sensitive and incindiary subject and none of the debaters wanted to even refer to it. They were happy bleeting rhetorics and expressing support to the 'victims'.

Ultimately, the solution lies in halting social decay, reviving serious economic activity and establishing law, order and dispencing justice effectively in these decaying states which will stem emigration. Such subjugation of one region by others is not acceptable even in Europe

The fundamental right of every Indian is to live and work in any part of the Country, which suits to them.
Villages and poverty riddden areas of the Country should be developed so that people don't migrate to other parts for livlihood.

I think its time to change the constitution of India.....have a word alongwith Secular Republic.......Castiest Secular Republic of India.....

Also, if this cannot be done....then the castiest should leav India...and make themselves properous as businesses will not be affected by em as people will still continue to do busines with them as the will have experience in doing so....
