I dont have much information about Medical Insurance Policies, but would like to share the thoughts of the likeminded people and would like to make use of their advice. Please someone help me on this subject.
You can contact the following company. They are first ISO certified TPA in India. www.fhpl.net. You can contact their 24 hr call center for further details 1800-425-4033
The way I have found to get medical insurance for lower premium rates is through Bank. There are four govt insurance companies viz., United, Oriental, New India and ????. They have hooked up with various banks like in Karnataka, United is with Canara Bank (CanMediclaim), New India is with SBM (Dhanavantri) and so on. They give a floating insurance of Rs. 1 Lakh for a premium of Rs.1900, which will cover 4 people and Rs. 3100 for 6 people of family. Inculsion and exculsion list is very similar to other mediclaim insurance. It is also very simple and easy to get if you have account in bank. So check with your banks if they have such collabration with insurance companies. Kiran
your articles does not provide enough information. main points are not even mentioned. Some imporatant points are 1. Coverage of pre existing diseases after a certain period. 2. Conditions cannot be changed on renewals, as per high court orders. 3. Even if claim arises, the company cannot refuse to renew the policy, and even cannot exclude the disease of which it had paid claim. 4. Floater policy is the best option.
after paying for premium several years, when a claim is made for a partial amount, niac either refuses to renew the contract or charges hefty extra premium. please be careful while lodging claims and going in for renewals
while niac claims plus point of cashless service. many hospitals im coimbatore are opting out of cashless coverage due to poor settlements by tpa. laymen is left helpless to settle huge bills and wait for settlement for an uncertain amount/ uncertain period. will niac please do needful. uti- scup refers all claims to chennai in tamilnadu though they have offices in big cities like coimbatore. what is the remedy
