I have served an organization for 30 years i.e. I gave my life for them. When I reached my fifties, the new management brought me under the category of liabilities. My Honesty & sincerity were the disqualifications they found in me. They clean bowled me one day without any prior intimation!! My answer was tears!!. However, thereare good samaritans in India who offer accommodation for such like by seeing their excellent experience. No words to say thanks to them. Yes give employment to them irrespective of their age. Their valuable experience will contribute a lot. One word more, treat them as humans!!

I appreciate. I have suffered the same experience. Although late, but God is with us.
This is very heartening to know that finally 'aged' have been noticed. So called 'aged-elderly-retired' people are experienced, have work knowledge, have skill to handle crisis in the office. It is okay that younger people have more stamina and are more open to ideas, but elderly or retired people can contribute much more in the work field. Aall of a sudden when retirement comes, they get a bolt from the blues,as if they are now of no use,or as if the 'expiry date' has come(like on medicine bottles, we throw the medicine once 'expiry date'is over). It will be better to utilize their services, so that they also can have a dignified old age.

I do agree with Manju Kumar. Let me add here that so long person is active, age is not hurdle and one can even match with the speed of work the young people currenty doing. The advantage of keeping / retaining senior person is that he will concentrate on the job and will not look for leaving the job frequently which is normally leads to train the new person. Here stability, sincerety, dedication and honesty is more important which, of course, senior persons have.

I too agree with you. As elderly people have vast experience might contribute a lot to the upcoming organizations.

I agree with you. There are many area where people in higher age bracket can be accomodated. Still organisation runs after younger one. This is my experience that younger lot runs after the money and not the knowledge and skill. And many of them fails at one point of time as they fail to deliver. One must keep ideal balace between young and expeience lot , we need both of them.
wherever physical work concerned age should be no bar. But not for table work. Also one person should never be allowed to work on same work for a long time but on some other otherwork
