If U are from IIT, NIT or even from govt. collleges with comp, electronics or IT branch,, please dont sit for campus placement intervies of the above companies..Even if u sit and get the offer letter try for a better option before going to HELL>

Attrition rate is normal

When the economy is booming and talented people are valued attrition do happen. Attrition in the range of 6& - 8% is acceptable rather preferable. Even in Singapore where the economy is doing reasonable well, the attrition rate hovers around 10% - 12%. Attrition brings in new set of people, new talent, new set of ideas and outlook. In this case, the attrition is mainly due to people taking up higher studies proving that the economy is vibrant and positive. Nothing to panic but the company has to have close watch on the rate continuously.

IT management: We should have more stringent HR policies where employees dont go to competitors. Define career path for all employees and focus on the vision.

Communist: Bring union in all IT companies. Employees are oppressed and hence all IT companies have to be nationalized

Govt: Please include reservation in private sectors. All companies should have quotas for OC/BC/OBC/SC/ST. Seperate reservation for minorities is a must

Employees: 50% appraisal required each year. Onsite opportunities every year. Include benefits free house loan re-payment, children education, medical bills etc. Encourage work from home culture.

Natesh Sir, if all private companies 'reserve' jobs on 'caste' basis, soon most of these companies will go bankrupt. Wakeup, man. If I put my money to start a company and pay taxes to the govt, I have every right in this world to recruit anyone I wish.

actual figures - Infosys - et addition of employees

Reason for high attrition

Being an ex-employee of TCS, let me share some of my experiance there

1)The working environment in TCS is one of the worst
2)The managers, PL's and other bosses hardly works.These are the guys who hardly have any technical knowledge of the project but takes away the highest appraisals.
3)Its the freshers who works the most..sometimes 12-16 hrs.. and gets a meagre 11k in the first year..Even after their hard work, their commitments were question by the above seniors and is given the least appraisals..
5)During appraisals, seneriority is taken into account and not the intelligence,

4)For promotions and onsite opportunities, whats counts is not ur amount of work. working hours or the productivity of work but ur ability of chamchagiri to ur boss..I have seen many non competent guys moving ahead by buttering their bosses..

5)Promotions and onsite can also depends if u have good links with the superiors.
Though Tcs has given me the first Job ..My joy knew know bounds when I left it for a better job..

6)Practically no scope of creativity .

My friends in infy and wipro reports the same in their company

For those who says IT guys are greedy I must say the salary given by TCS gives u a decent living..But I am greedy for a good working enviroment..

High Attrition Rate in Wipro

The WASEian people are the worst sufferers in WIPRO. They are treated like bonded labour. Poor people not even getting clerk salary and working hard for 14-16 hrs per day and bad treatment from regulars. As soon as they get chance they leave the co.

nothing happens suddenly friend, our great entrepreneurs found it easy and no risk to sell their fellow citizens and make a commission, the cycle of greed started then, today it is multi billion dollar greed so all are in the race to snatch as much as they can. Yes, I agree to you. The worst ever company I have worked for in terms of working hours...No timeframe. The expectations of the management is too high. I use to work in Finance department and they expect us to sit late through out the nights to complete the month end process.

If you talk abt the employee welfare (not the salary), its better than most of the company.

Yes you are Right, They put employees to contract for many years, such that 2, 3 years and even more and they never make them permanent. Salaries are horrible, They don't even gift a T Shirt to their contract employees. This is the only company who had reduced Night shift claims for contract employees from Rs 100 to Rs 50 even that is not being paid properly.
