These fake consultants are there in business because there are people who are willing to pay huge amount of money to go to USA. While I was in the UK, I was returning home from work and a guy approached me and introduced himself and said he and his 5 friends are from Hyderabad thru a consultant who processed their work permits and they are looking for work. The amount these guys had paid were just huge and these guys all ready to do anything to live in UK. About a month or so when I went to a local pub, I met the guy who approached me working as a waiter at the pub. I had a similar experience while I was in the US when shopping at WalMart when a bunch of guys approached me and they said they had come thru an consultant in Chennai. As long as people are there to pay those huge amounts of money, there are fake consultants to exploit them. There are a whole lot of people among us who are willing to do anything just to go and live abroad.

You are right. If you have talent you will get good job in India or you can start your own company in India. Those who do not have talent either work in US on lower salary compared to US employees or do the job of cheap labour contractor just like NRN :)

I have worked in India for 6 years and in US for 4 years. One need more talent to survive in US than in India. US clients are too demanding.

Demanding means you need to work hard. It is also in India. Fortunately you came across the indian people who were donating you without you doing hard work.
We have to face many indian clients who are demanding much more than US and we dont have any problem.
We care for them becaue they are own own countrymen.

THere are so many people struggling in INDIA. They dont complaint. Life is with struggle.
vast majority of people in US are form AP and Karnataka, i dont know weather it is a fasion trend in Hyderabad that every engineer will goto US to do his or her masters but the fact is 60% of the graduates in hyderabad are flocking to US is it good for INDIA???????
i happen to meet goolti in NY airport when i was in US and the first question to me is "why don't u apply for GC?"... shameless guys they just sell themselves...
BSc CSC graduate - Rs. 50L BTech graduate - Rs. 1cr BTech graduate settled in US - Rs. 2cr MTech graduate - Rs. 3cr MTech graduate settled in US - Rs. 3cr Doctor - God knows
PS: The figures may vary based on US economy!!! If US economy goes down gooltis will come back to india to serve the nation :D
When the companies in the U.S.A and India can fake their employees to be something else, for example,a functional consultant is projected as a technical one,if the candidate is proving his worth,i dont find anything wrong in his faking.Only thing i would like to see is the scrutiny should be from the top,not from below to restrict such unwanted situations.ITS ok in India, but to bring disrepute to India in U.S. is not acceptable at all.
Lets Make india worth Living, people move out of india because services in the country sucks, there is no respect you get as a citizen and rights are only on paper. we all can collectively take little steps to make india worth living, it may not get fixed but at least you can say we tried. One step to make your lives simple is that www.indiflight.com, its a world class idea from 2 iitians with no competitor world wide to make finding cheap tickets in india very simple, Now you will not miss your 1 rs ticket. I know its not going to fix a lot of your problems but if we encourage creativity in india slowly we might

Indian politicans take this opportunity to get the attention... look at our present Kamal Nath.. he has NO IDEA abt the H1 visa system...
What ever happened to Arun Jaitely, wrt the totalization agreement... (totalization agreement) is about H1B holders who cannot work beyond 6 years... but have to contribute to the Social Security Taxes... yet will allow them to receive the benefits after they retire back to India.
The totalization Agreement exists between America and 16 other countries.. including Mexico..but not India.. why ???
Cos, our Mr Jaitely, who looked after this issues has received kick backs.....
Its all about Guts and Confidense ! ppl say deserving ppl left behind which means they are lagging some where and undeserving ppl gets visa which means he have something ....upon reaching US whoever it may all of them are doing well ,some good , some great etc.
Stop making noise about deserve and undeserve if u have money , guts/confidense then u can get H1B this is my feeling.

yes they are lacking in one thing " they can't come down from basic moral principles of professional life ".
I too agree doing what they do certainly will not be easy, it will surely be difficult to speak one lie after other and hide their real names for the sake some more money.

Yahi to. India respects only money - no qualification - no capability.
150,000 applications for 65,000 position - what do u say - guts matter - lucky draw. Most applications by the ones who have money and no brains - and no respect (including self and for others).

i dont agree all them going for sake of money ,the ppl who stuggle more in there carrer earlier they got well settled in US by taking risk , evey one want's to be honest but it doent work with everybody/or in this world so instead of getting depressed they approach these ways which i feel nothing wrong as long as the job being offered to you and if u r doing justice to job fine who cares if they are fake, end of the day what u deliver it matters its done by so called deserving ppl or undeserving ppl.Lot of PM or manager level they are just go through by talking big things not only indians evey person on this earth are like this , this is the fact and u need be like this to surivie in this electronic world otherwise u r dead.
I am in US for the past 4 years, trust me Indian consultancy firms deserve this. I am both a victim and evidence to lots of fraud resumes and fraud experience letters created by our desi guys in their greed to earn more money in any means possible.
Here only for permanent positions background check is done, that too only to verify criminal and drug history, to some extent to check basic educational degrees. For all contract and consultancy positions just your resume is like bible for them.
Irony is the same set of people who fake and lie in interviews talk about Indian politics and people not following moral rules. Please try to follow basic profession ethics.

Not only in US, but also to apply for local jobs, these guys fake their resumes. Companies like Accenture, IBM, Verizon etc does a good background check and fire them if they r found fake. This is a good move. I think these consultants (if he has ethics) should also do a rigorous BG check b4 applying for H1. How to find such consultant? Its like finding a good auto driver in chennai....

Yaa I heard that its happening in India as well. Thing is what happens in India will stay in India only, but once you come to different country and start doing wrong things, it gives a wrong opinion about whole indian community to US people.
I am sorry I don't have a suggestion to make on how to find good consulting firm for H1B ? Probably, when you talk to him you will know whether he is genuine or not based on the kind of questions he asks.

Very true.
False resume are getting bad name to the country. and the same people say - we love our country. They tell others to vote for Taj - first respect yourself - then your coutry.
False resume saaale - father name bhi false likhte honge (pata nahin hoga na).
