No doubt infrastructure should improve. But that does not guarantee that Mumbai would be a Global Financial Hub. The city is overcrowded and has limited capacity to further increase the trade.
While I am normally opposed to SEZs, in the case of Mumbai, that may be the right solution.
First the Politicians give land to Slum lords and take there share
Then they will rehabilate and take there share from them and also builder to build the rehabilaition
Then again will sell the place to the new slum dweller so that the original Slum allotes get new slum who will shift to new slums
The cycle goes on .,
Here the Tax payer money goes that is called speding on the infrastructure
Every politician in Maharastra own a PRADO OR SIMILAR VEHICLE ., BOUGHT BY THE TAX PAYERS MONEY FOR THERE PERSONAL USE
Example : Genuine you can yourself
P Dmello road Travel from V T to wadala
after musjid station see the Slums., you could see the pressure of water from the water piple line they use SO MUCH PRESSURE THAT WITHOUT ELECTRI MOTOR IT CAN GO TWO TO THREE FLOOR UP
THEY USE IT WITHOU BILL BUT NOBODY GOVT STAFF SEES
AND IF YOU DONT PAY YOUR BILL IN ONE MONTH THEY COME TO CUT IT INSTANTLY
WHO PAY THERE BILL NEXUS BETWEEN THE GOVT OFFICIALS AND SLUM LORDS
CHECK YOURSELF THE TRUTH TRAVEL BETWEEN 1-30 TO 3 IN THE AFTERNOON
You can work without worry of anything lock you office Glass door and you know nobody will touch it also
2) Infrastructure first ( E G Basics ) In Singapore see the M T R No T Checker, No Ticker vendor Refund of ticket also without any one only machines working No need of cheating as law is there everywhere without physical presence
3) PUBLIC TRANSPORT USED BY MILLIONARIES WITHOUT FEAR AND WITHOUT THE FEAR OF GETTING YOUR DRESSES SPOLIED OR PICKPOCKETERS
0 % CRIME RATE
NO POLICEMAN IN THE PUBLIC AREA ONLY AT THE AIRPORT OR VITAL INSTALLATIONS ONLY
AT THE PARLIAMENT ALSO NEGLIGIBLE
HERE IN INDIA TO PROTECT THE DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, THIEFS, MURDERERS BIGGEST TAX EVADERS ( ALL POLITICIANS )
4) Small Thing Shop at local ( Outsiders ) Come to the airport while going away GET THE GST REFUND WITHOUT QUESTION ASKED
5) TRAFFIC DISCIPLINE SEE IT YOURSELF AND
6) CLEANINESS AT THE PUBLIC PLACE BETTER THAN ANYBODYS HOME IN INDIA
7) SINGAPORE SHARE SCAM CULPRIT BROUGHT TO BOOK WITH IN THREE MONTHS
8) INDIA IS GREAT ., ( only two example )
1) Two Stock scam Case still undecided
2) Stamp paper scam Case still undecided
3) CANT DECIDE THE CASE OF 20000 PEOPLE KILLED
IN 84 ROITS in DELHI AFTER I G MURDER
LEADERS /CULPRITS ROAMING AROUND
4) BOMBAY ROITS
LEADERS / CULPRITS ROAMING AROUND
5) ATTACK ON PARLIAMENT STILL UNDECIDED
6) MIG CRASH CASES PILOT ERROR ???
ONE thing more only people will read this message and in a day will forget
As we dont respect the las and can be bought at any time with your convenace like a whore who can be bought at a price

Things are done from the ground up. Quality education is the only solution. When people acquire the ability to think rationally then only anything is possible.
Else India will remain forever a filthy country with pockets of wealth and cleanliness here and there. Even now the investment in basic education is a negligible portion of the GDP!!
It's a shame to see the Local trains of Mumbai, do you think a businessman from New York can manage travel in that dirty locals, first at least make a world class metro which New Delhi has..Most of the Mumbai's money goes to centre and only tenth is utilized on it...

ppl should stop complaining first. I am staying in singapore. We should implement card system in mumbai locals and scrap out paas system absolutely . design fare schemes like peak hr charges in bus fare, taxi fare, train fare which will reduce peak hr traffic a bit We should learn from worldclass cities how they manage this kinda problems.

Yeah!, and its not AC...Can you imagine travelling in a train at 35C with 90% humidity...They need alltogether a different train like Delhi's Metro.
Good joke... In maharashtra we are not able to provide 24 hrs electricity , we are talking about load shedding in mumbai . and here we are discusssing on mumbai to be financial hub. good joke. ask politician to see the condition of the roads, electricity problem, water and basic infrastrcture to comman man.forget about financial hub we first should try to make mumbai normal living city. these corrupt politicians and so called neta's you all get lost from Mumbai...

You are right, these vote hungry politicians will never settle the slums as most of the votes come from them....Mumbai will never be the financial hub till these bloody netas are there.
