His articles are always great. Very impressive and very inspiring. This time, he has really given a hint as to how can one succeed in life, and this is something everybody should learn, instead of pin-pointing what he should have said or mentioned.

Murthy is too mild
by Sagar Yadav on Jul 26, 2006 07:46 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr Narayan Murthy was too decent in choosing his words. He fails to mention that USA is no more a big mention in the new global economy, and it is just a region of the global economy and nothing more.
"Believe in the power of India and China to change the world." Soon there will be elephants and dragons chasing USA shaped economy out of the crowd. The choice is simple - either accept them or stand alone. Change and accept or vanish. The new global economy is going to be ruled by the nations which have the virtue of acceptance rather than the virtue to exploit others, develop yourself, and ignore others - as has been with the US uptill now.

Dear friend, you seem to be overcritical, and fail to see the greatness and Indianness of Murthy while saying that he is too mild. Remember, we Indians have the special virtue to respect others even if we are above them.

Mr. Narayanmurti's Interview.
by Parimal Shrikhande on Jul 18, 2006 09:00 PM  Permalink

This interview inevitably creates the more profound impact about "If the Base is strong Then Structure is going to be strong".INFOSYS is an example to learn for new comers that by sticking to moral values & strong will with a vision always give you a deep sence of satisfaction with achievement of an objective.Successes like INFOSYS will, i hope, lead to more enterprenaurships in INDIA.

Mr. Narayana Murthy's Interview
by Chandrakant Wakankar on Jul 02, 2006 08:56 PM  Permalink

A thought provoking, inspiring and challenging piece. Please continue to publish more such material. It should be considered by political and industrial leaders of both India and USA, and indeed, other democratic countries as well, It would, of course need further refining and more addition from other thinkers and practitioners. If implemented with similar vision, it should decrease the disparities, create greater opportunities all around and reduce tensions within and between communities and nations. For Indian politicians, it should particularly tell how they should decrease the disparities by raising the educational standards, especially at the primary and secondary levels, and concentrating on the improvements in the sectors such as infrastructure, rather than by adopting ideological postures or seeking short-term, self-serving solutions such as caste based reservations.
