Why new Pay Commission.
by Sreekumar on Dec 09, 2007 01:27 PM  Permalink

all employees will be demanding a hike in their pay. what will be the net gain if the income tax rules remain the same. about 40% of the increased pay will have to be paid as tax. so instead of a pay revision, a revision of the tax levels is more practicable. everybody must think in this sense.

pay differences

It is very sad to know tha that the sixth pay commission had set up. Now the Govt employees are going to get more pay? Now they can live a decent life? They dont want to live a life where they cant fulfill any of their children's studies or desire? They no need to hide behind the wall, watching the corporate sector employees living a splendid life? Some how economists and financial experts should get ready to deter the commission? If anyone shoould know the difficulty of a govt employee, u should be an govt employee. Even the highly educated are living as if a miser or begger with full of mental stress

Reg. Sixth Pay Commisssion
by Kuldeep Raj on Sep 06, 2006 02:55 PM  Permalink

Right step but taken late. Centre Govt. employees being paid too less as compared to Public Sector Units like Indian Oil, Hydraulic Power Units etc. Presently a clerk (having 10-15 yrs service) of Indian Oil Corporation takes a monthly salary of Rs. 25000/- month + other perks whereas Central Govt. Employee take about Rs. 7500/- only. Take Punjab State Electricity Board, BBMB, You will find huge pay difference. Despite the fact that Central Govt. employees are second to none in efficieny, discipline etc. as compared to others.

6th Pay commission-constituition
by K.S.Srinivasan, on Sep 01, 2006 04:45 PM  Permalink

Dear Sir,

There is always a cry whenever the Pay commission is constituted for Central Government Employees. Are they not humans like other working class employees or politicians who get their salaries and perks hiked even without any information to the media. The beneficiaries are going to be not only central government employees and also Pensioners or their widows who get family pension.
Why increase? Are not the prices increasing? Whether it is textiles, rental or food articles which are essential for a good living at the retired life. Where will a pensioner go, when even the interest rates are kept to keep the inflation low.Alas, inflation increases as Government spends for development activities to compete with developed nations. Think a while. When you want to be a developed nation, you require development of Infrastructure, factories, new companies coming in through Foreign direct Investment etc. Who is paying for these things? Even a central Government servant, pensioner or a widow has to shell down for the development of the Nation. From where will they pay if their salaires/pensions are not hiked when all others get their salary/perk increase without even the media kno
