All of your might have heard about the 6th Central Pay Commission and its financial implications on the economy and got in to a feeling of its magnanimity to the Central Government employees.
Actuallly the people who are benefitted by this commission are the upper strata of the the central government employees. With each Pay Commission what is widening is the long gap between the officers and the lower class. Earlier before the 5th Pay Commssion there was a slab system to calculating DA, which has been conveniently taken away in order to please the top hierarchy of the Indian Buecroacy.
The middle and lower class of the employees community are least benefited with any Pay Commission.
Another thing to be taken note of is that there is a feeling among people like our Primine Minister as well as our Finance Minister that only multinational companies and Indian Polititians should thrive in Indian Economy and the hapless class of government employees should vanish from India in the comising years
TO those idiots who dont undersatnd Economy and only read the HEADLINES.Should consider that every employee desrves the right fro pay increment.
As the employees in Private sector are crushed under pressure.Goverment employees do as well.
After living in india fro 25 years.When i was settled abroad for 20 years .I realised that India need to resolve the domestic problems like this .If they want to achieve any good for economy.

holy god , i read arguments that 6 th pay commission is requierd to remove inequality is private and goverment salary. most foolish thing that is , does goverment and private sector have same working hours, does goverment employees work with same dedication as private firms, this goverment has doen nothing but to destroy India, God knows how states will cope with 6 th pay commision.

the recommendations of the pay commission involving monetary as well as reforms in the bureaucracy should be equally implemented by the Government simultaneously. lateral entry into the government employment and a liberal voluntary retirement scheme are to be made part of it. Rightsizing of the ministries and departments is of utmost importance. ministries should not be created to provide a ministerial berth to the ruling alliance members.
Its Ok to revise salaries ,but what about accountabilty and performance level of govt employees ,that should be also linked . Salary hike must be attached to performance . Also some of the deptt. ,institutions are just laundering the public money . Especially if you see salaries of Agricultural universties teaching faculty and research scholar (Im not talking of all) but most of them are not doing any useful work ,and if you just get into the detail (I pity if somebody could do that )you just get shocked no work and salaries enormous . So instead govt should spend more money on infrastructure ,quality education ,health and people will earn much more then govt can give ,instead of feeding govt employees who are just not performing .
I regret to state herein that many of the States's majority of income (90% of total income)is earmarked for giving salary, thereby they do not have any money for development. How will solve this problems. In Mahrashtra about 75% is earmarked for salary of the employees. There is no much development in this State. If the situation goes like this, entire system will collapse one day. Many small States do not have enough money to pay the salaries of employees.
The Central Govt: should come with touch laws to curb this Babusim and enjoying the revenues without any control?.
Sixth pay commission is necessary for the govt.employees otherwise there is no increase for govy employees salary compare to the mnc & other private companies.DA is not enough for the govt.employees as compare to the increase in prices.
