the very fact that service is most important factor to the growth of any organization that directly deal with customer. it has to ensure that they give round the clock service for better relation with customers the BPO job are not a bubble but it is a start of service catering industry this sector is alive in western world for the past 40 years we are lucy to get this indusrty boom here too but if we are not smart enough to withhold this blessing then other people are waiting in line to get it for much cheaper labour
Jobs in BPO sector will be here for long time now, and the nature of work will be more technical and span other areas of specialization as well. India can surely progress way-ahead of other nations in this area, provided the pay structure improves by 20-30%. Regarding Domestic BPO's, its still a long way(about 3-4 years) to go, untill they get a good chunk of work.
Good that at least some relief is coming to the job searching indian youth. I always think that lack of suitable guidance had worsened the youth of yesteryears' youth. I sometimes envy the present youth that they enjoy the one which we didn't enjoy our times. Somewhere I read that about 300 years before the people of india were self sufficient with whatever they were having. The Britishers had spoiled our selfrespect and confidence during their rule in India which we are still carrying. We are slowly recovering from that.
