I am sincerely beginning to think that infosys and rediff have some sort of tie up. I have lots of respect for infosys, but enough is enough. Story about infosys every other is making me sick. As someone else has posted, I have tried to avoid that from print media and I think I should change my homepage too.
Judging from the news churned out in Indian media these days seems like either the country or media has developed a love me self congratulatory habit. Point to note - 1. Articles on Infy every other day - just like Himesh's song, same stuff over and over. Just to add some perspective - papa johns and dominos pizza have combined revenues more than infy with half the employees. No one is questioning Infys achievments but to gloat about it over and over doesnt make sense. 2. P.Chidambaram - FM proclaiming that IBM is legacy and Infy is future suggesting that IBM is history and over the hill. Whom is he kidding ?? IBMs revenue is like 50 times that of Infys. Indian cos have a long...long...long way to go Publishing self congratulatory articles seems like Indian media is either being intellectually dishonest or naive
Your article seems a "cut" n "paste" from the Infosys corporate HR manual. I dont see what was the journalism part of it? I enjoy Murthy's speeches and ideas on rediff, but this is no article, i could have read it from the infosys website.
From my experince I can only say that quality of traning given by Infosys is THE BEST. It is the boynd the imagination of Other companies(Like TCS,WIPRO etc) to spent a huge resource, to just train their employees.
Why am I writing this at mid-night...because I just happen to come across another Infy article at Rediff that boild my blood. I don't understand why Rediff is so obsessed with Infy. Well, if they really want to do some good work they should go and write about Infy employees TESTing software day and night at the lowest wages in the industry.
I worked for Infy for 3 years and know more than journalists writing about Infy. In reality, Infy hires bunch of programmers who can put few if-then-elses and TEST software. That's all what they do. And talking about integrity...they will buy single user license software and install it on every machine in the Lab. Thank God I am out of that HELL.
Guys, there are many good companies out there doing really exciting work that we should be proud of. But they don't grab the headline. Anyways, I am sleepy and going to end this abruptly but pls no more Infy crap.
At Infy you get only 15 days leaves in full year ! 10 days training is bakwaas ! Most of the projects are like doing BPO kinda work !In most of the projects Infy just does
low end work while the high end consulting work is done by MNCs like IBM , HP , EDS ,
This is a good message and i feel inspired by reading this. i will suggest you to put more messages of this kinds so as we the people can know about companies as well.....
This is not to pull down Infosys, but it is definitely not the best IT company. It may be one of the BIG comapnies, just as TCS, Wipro and Satyam --- companies starting a couple of decades back had better chances of growing into BIG companies. Infosys may have been a dream company during its initial years. It is ceratinly not a dream company any more. I know a person who left the company within 2 months. If you fall into a good project, life will be fine, but majority of the projects are junk, as in any other BIG company like TCS, Wipro, and Satyam. A good professional can not be happy in these BIG companies.

Why u say that one can't be happy in big companies, i've worked in TCS, IBm and Mastek. Mastek is the smallest of the three, but it's not the best among them. I agree that it depends on project-to-project, but it also depends on the individual how he/she takes up the challenge, and steers the things his/her way. TCS, Infy, Wipro all r good cos, and we should be proud that because of these cos, we got worldwide recognition. I would say you open up your own company and then I will comment on what's wrong in it. Man!! commenting is easy, doing is difficult... No hard feelings meant, still if u feel hurt, I m sorry!! Dear Mr. Narayan my little sister joined the co. in FEB 2006 so she is a junier! And i had been talking to as many as 50 freshers from Infosys! Who HATE the work culture over there. And Our Dear Mr.Narayanmurti who is gonna retire soon doesnt know what his Programmers are going thr'

Dear Ashutosh ! You might know that Infy has a bond with every employeee! So i am waiting for the period to get over!And you seem to be one of the infy seniors! Ya surely my sis is gonna Quit ! But this is open forum! Though she hasnt any right to talk about her PM's failures there i have right to atleast stop other people falling pray to such paid news!
