Well, it is very simple. From the day you are born, you have to learn to fight. With so much population, there is constant competition, life is always a struggle and survival of the fittest is the norm.
hi everyone, well i think india should try to curtain up some educational stuffs and concepts from american students like they do to indian students who come here,i am saying this because i've faced it,indian talent is not allowed to grow fully here and universities don't even consider anything about indian students ,we cannot take part in any widescale projects which comes to university, once in a blue moon somehow someway it is allowed and our indian news agency and internet sites hype them proving US universities are great towards indian students but actually that is not true,so i would request indian education dept. to curtain up some study patterns from american students, keep this key in hand don't let it slip off. thankyou Sandeep
American system of education gives more emphasis on applications rather than theories. More importance is given to self-learning,instead of teaching. All most all of the American stuents have to take care of themselves after 18 years are so. Henec the emphasis on application helps them to take up some job immediately. They fit in well in job maket. While doing jobs many of the interested students continue their studies, but they have to strrugle hard on two accounts-job pressures and lack of emphasis on theoritical foundations. In India more emphasis is laid on theory and teaching(some dub it as spoon feeding) which are more helpful to the students in advanced studies. They pick up applications quickly.Parents support them here till they get a job,and hence undivided attention is given to learning. This approach contribiutes more toward better talent and skill building in India. This is a special message for Spellings, Enzi and rest of the US delegation who want to know how India is fairing on the educational front. They will not be much impressed if they have a close look at some of our universities and their goings-on. But the 'secret' of India's education system is that the politicians at the centre as well as the states constantly come up with policies of making it tougher and tougher for meritorious students to enter portals of higher education by sneaking in reservations and special quotas thus depleting the quantum available for merit based admissions. But the ingenuity and perseverence of the Indian middle-class is no less dogged. They put in even more hard work of mammoth proportions in order to remain within the ever-depleting fraction available for merit. In fact, look at the surfeit of graduates of all streams churned out from the myriad colleges of India. But the bright ones among them form a small fraction. And the quality of this small band is ever increasing. The beneficiary of this output is the American educational and employment market which receives this ever improving stream of educated youngsters year after year for decades now!
