Devegowda - The person who spoils the development.
by Sreenivas on Oct 20, 2005 06:47 PM  Permalink

Not to say much, but now it proved that how our politicians are spoiling the people who are working dedicatedly. Just talking will not help. Will devegowda can take part actively in BIAL and complete the work within 5 years with out making money for himself ?

Mr. Narayana Murthy's resignation
by Prof. Durbha S Ramesh on Oct 20, 2005 06:43 PM  Permalink

It once again goes to prove how indecent our politicians can be towards honest and dedicated individuals who are self-made. Any self-respecting person would have reacted the way Mr. Murthy did. It requires both courage and self-esteem to stand up like Mr Murthy did. Hats off to a member of such a vanishing tribe in public life!. It is for this reason that it is often said " Class does not breed easily".

I wish the former prime minister takes some classes in probity and public behaviour and learn to show due respect to creative individuals who struggled to put India on the world map when politicians like him were snoring off at public expense.

it is a matter of shame that this should happen in a forward looking progressive state of south india. Such stunts of Mr Gowda may go down well with the largely fuedal north Indian societies but not in regions where hard work, scholarship and humility are recognised and rewarded besides being percieved as hall-marks of a sophisticated civilised community. Mr Gowda's behaviour is another instance of an uncultured response, by a peoples servant, perhaps inherited from his days at Delhi. Let Mr. Gowda show some grace by apologising.

and Deve Gowda has the temerity
by bipin prakash on Oct 20, 2005 06:37 PM  Permalink

Yes we are talking about the same disgrace called Deve Gowda who would sleep and snore loudly during sessions of the Lok Sabha as the Prime Minister and who unarguably had the worst stint as an Indian Prime Minister and just because ones tongue can be bent in any manner he has the temerity to make such a statement to the media. Well and truly deplorable. If Deve Gowda had even a pinch of self respect he would apologize and serve a retraction and resign his position in the least.

Narayana Murthy
by Shyam Raj on Oct 20, 2005 06:31 PM  Permalink

Narayanamurty should have should have put Deva Gouda
in his place, ignoring his remark. I do not think
Deva Gouda is a person of any substance. Has he ever said anything that made sense ? He became a
prime minister by fluke.

i really feel sad for mr.murthy, he is someone who has created and made a colossus company which is today a world leader, and it really is sad that a person of such stature has to be criticised by a man who was once the Sleeping Prime minister of india

Naryana Murthy is angry and so do we
by Raghavan Gopal on Oct 20, 2005 06:22 PM  Permalink

Medicore persons like Devegowda should not commnet on persons like Narayana Murthy. Persons Devegowda associate will only tell his calibre. It is the state of Karnatka which is the loser and not Devegowda or his children.

Devegowda can only talk in a village Panchyat level and not talk about a country or a state. Becasuse of leaders like Devegowda India is a laughing stock in the entire world.

One need to ask what is contribution of Mr. Deve Gowda for development of India in general and Karnataka in particular. He has been in fact, comming in the way of infrastructure development of city and Karnataka. This could be beginning of end of International AIRPORT project in Bangalore.

Devegoudas time has run out
by H. Shrkant on Oct 20, 2005 06:18 PM  Permalink

It is high time people like Devegoudas retire from active politics. He has already done enough damage to the image of the Country when he was the PM and now the Karnataka by poking his hawkish nose in every issue he comes across.

It was a great misfortune that India got Devegouda as PM, which was earned by him more through political manoeuvres by others like Chandrababu Naidu than his personal capability. It is more so because he thinks that He is made PM due to his 'Great Qualities'. Despite his unceremonious exit from the post, he is still trying to relive that PM image, which everybody else recall as a yawning and insignificant face.

He is thrown lots of mud in Karnataka politics and has become a great tumbling block in the progress the State has to make. It is a added misfortune for the State that nincompoops like Dharam Singh has the reins in hand.

Else, how would it have been possible to belittle people like Narayana Murthy who is one of the very few 'Indian Lights' in the eyes of the World? History will remember Narayana Murthy's for their contributions but certainly not people like Devegoud and Dharam Singh.
