Why fight over a city that is going down the drain anyways.... Look for better places elsewhere. Kolkata - Metropolitan, inexpensive, cultured, modern, well-connected, Good infrastructure, fast & cheap transport, safe.
With more Companies coming in, the Govt of West Bengal has chalked out modular & organic growth pattern for the city's infrastructure, so that growth doesnt hamper the quality of life, transportation, availability of water, electricity, sewage & other facilities.
The Govt of West Bengal understands the the IT Cos. bring in opportunities, not problems as being cribbed by the Govt. Of Karnataka.
So, come to the land of immense opportunity & growth; leave the stinking, crubmling monster of nightmare Governed by worthless illeterates behind.
There is time to look out of bangalore also,the infrastructure is unable to cope with so many IT companies and outstate nouvae -rich employees who even go by car to a grocery shop 100 metres away from their home.IT companies have to take their share of blame,why they dont want to expand in other cities like ahmedabad,jaipur,lucknow,chandigarh where lifestyle is as good as bangalore.this will give a little breathing space to bangalore.
Take example of 2 Roads. bannerghatta and Hosur Road. Her we have big MNC'S , huge apartment giving shelter to " Big" people. But no body are interested in either asking the Govt or authorities. Secondly we are negative. We blame rather than finding how we can improve the situation. When i was in Belgaum I saw aPvt Co coming forward and It out an excellent road for 3 Kms and becaome role model.Now a days its sheer waste of enrgy to expect anything from Govt and we people should take innitiative and achieve the objective. As long as we stick to our negative attitude thanks to illusioned newspapers the situations of both roads and India will remain same.
People are ignorant of silient revolution going in Bangalore Maysore infrastructor HIGH SPEED EXPRESS HIGHWAY being constructed at a cost of Rs.4000/crore on BOOT model. This is the largest project of its kind and THE SOLUTION to traffic problems of BANGALORE.Going to be opened to traffic in AUG. 2005. Elevated HIGHWAY will be only a show window and a futile exercise.
i thought rediff had good writers, this article has nothing new to say, same old stuff...with the below information being given wrong also.
There are a number of other upcoming road projects across Bangalore and its outskirts. They include a four-lane stretch of 74-km Kundapur-Suratkal road to be built at a cost of Rs 500 crore (Rs 5 billion);
suratkal-kundapur is not on outskirts of bangalore, it is in coastal karnataka.
rediff is losing its quality day-by-day....i hope this info helps u in evaluating yr articles a little bit.....
our governments will never improve a booming place like bangalore as well as the poor villages of bihar and rajasthan. all they want is the bribes and bribes. they also dont like people who like to give good push for development of a place like SM.Krishna and well known Chandrababu naidu. our people are also not so good judgers to select their leaders.
