Wishing you all the best in all your future endeavours.
hi the list is not complete , they are so many women ceo in this corporate world , but this list is exactly a copy of the list compiled by a well know magazine in india with 50 top ceo so it doesnt make any sense to any one,
How politically incorrect to have the title "Chairman" following the names of Women CEOs! I haven't read the book yet, and hope that this is not the case in the book. I would expect better from an IIM student and his co-author. "Chairperson" is politically correct, "Chairwoman" is acceptable, but "Chairman" for a woman is just plain wrong.

The reasons for calling them chairman are explained in the book. Creativity can never be politically correct.
As per the code of conduct applicable for PSUs, the EDs/GMs etc (whether women or men) are not supposed to give interviews for such purposes without prior permission in writing from superior authorities. Such permission is not easy to come by as in some cases, the request is referred to the concerned administrative ministry in the Government. It is possible that for these practical constraints, such personalities are not considered.
The present work is only representative of the top women business leaders. Many more of them were contacted but it was communicated by there office that they are busy.
I appreciate and applaud the efforts of the two students-budding writers for their wonderful work! When students chit-chat and while aawy their time now a days, the venture of these students without losing focus on their studies, is indeed remarkable and to be emulated by other students as well. I congratulate them and wish them a long innings in their pursuit of journalism.. Who knows there may be another Arundhathi Roy or Salman Rushdie in making, in them? But the only factor that was intriguing me was the book was attempted by these two, just because there was no such book on women CEOS so far ! Nonetheless all the best to them in future too! Would like to receive a complimentary copy if possible for review! Thanks and good wishes! Prof.B.venkateswaran Mylapore Chennai 30th April 2005
