When ever i saw any column about fear of medicine going up...."since 97% is out of patent generic drugs fear of medicines going up is not true." i see the foul play by people to misguide commom man withot telling which drugs are to face fate and which section of people are to face the brutal hike in drug price. Will the badtimes spare the life of Diabetic patients ,whose treatment cost is increasing constatntly We are the capital of world in number of Diabetic patients and further we are constantly adding new people to this silent killer.many people including me have atleast one family who's family got shattered by cost of the treatment of diseases due to complication of Diabetes. Say for example 10% of people in India who have diabetes face the great problem of amputation of leg for which it cost about 100,000 INR.After this it certainly mad person prone to more problems due to immobility. If the price keep climbing north then we are facing more onset of troubles in already troubled diabetic patient. Could any responsible drug company come out with reliable indiacaters to break the anxiety of a diabetic person.Lilly,Novartis,Boots come on...please with likely raise
A major fallout of the patents bill will be the muscling in by the MNCs in the generics market. Arm twisiting of the retail trader to stock products he doesn't want if he wants deliveries of products he wants - "yeh mangta hai to woh bhi rakhna padega" - is bound to happen. Cheaper alternatives will thus be crowded off the shop shelves and their manufacturers either forced to shut shop or subcontract for the MNCs.
These politicians; whenever they or their brood falls ill, get treated at the country's expense. What do they lose in making health costlier for the commoners?
