Sharing is good

Before getting into a relationship, make it amply clear that you believe in sharing - More the Merrier. Tu Bhi Aam Kha, Usey Bhi Khane Do!

Lack of compassion and selflessness is the cause
by Jaichand on May 23, 2008 02:58 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think people do not truly 'love' each other anymore. "Love" is now associated with selfishness, desire and sex. This leads to jealousy and possessiveness, which can unfortunately turn violent, like in this case.

True love is never possessive.
True love reuqires compassion and selflessness; it means that you love the other person more that yourself, and do everything in your power to keep him/her happy, but do not expect anything in return.

True love reuqires that a couple view each other as free birds, not birds enclosed in a golden cage.
And if someone spurns or rejects your love, you should not be broken or angry; you should feel sorry for the other person because he/she would be missing out on a such a lot treasure of love from your heart. maybe someone else would now share the love.

RE:Lack of compassion and selflessness is the cause
by karthik krishnan on May 23, 2008 05:16 PM  Permalink
Honestly, I disagree...I have delved deep into human psyche based on practical situations and impartial observations.

My Findings:

1. You give a woman your attention, she will like it. I have gotten away with looking and even having a look of incredulous admiration while ogling at a woman and had her do nothing but smile back brightly. Because my mouth was shut.

2. But men can't stop there. They have to make a lewd remark. This pisses them off.

3. Men are animalistic. They cannot stop once they find their mate. They still need to keep mating. Women however are not that way...they will move only when they feel suffocated. This is not a generalisation. It holds good in every case.

The woman killing the guy is just an extreme case of aggression in a relationship. Let me promise you even if your woman agrees that you'll have an "open relationship" she is bound to get possessive at some point or the other.

Men need to shape up, or ship their arses our. Simple. I am telling this from practical experience.

I Know how it feels when the one you love is screwing around...and I know what it makes me feel like doing too.

That is common to both man and woman. We need to take a second look on the values and standards in relationships...only that will help us reduce such incidents.

thank you Upinder. The simple fact which all spiritual gurus and prophets have kept on saying again and again is that 'True self-happiness comes only from making others happy'. Sad that most people are ignorant of this wonderful mantra these days.

Trust me, Bollywood needs such stories! Too many films focus on lust, desire, jealousy, money, sex. Why not focus on true love and compassion?
See the film "Amelie" and you will know what I mean.

I don't know but these are unnecessary. Oil and Water don't mix, never did and never will. Basic question, why fight? It's simply not worth for a second class creature who don't gave passion or feelings and always after money.

BLAME REDIFF
by Multimillionaire on May 23, 2008 02:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

REDIFF YOU HAVE TO BE BLAMED. THE MEDIA IS EQUALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR BLOWING THINGS OUT OF PROPORTION. MEDIA DOESN'T WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE POLICE OR DOESNT DO ANY RESEARCH BEFORE PUBLISHING DISTORTED FACTS IN MANY CASES.

FOR EXAMPLE, IF THEIR IS FLOOD AND PEOPLE HAS DIED DIFFERENT TV CHANNELS, NEWSPAPERS, ETC. GIVE DIFFERENT FIGURES OF CASUALTIES AND ULTIMATELY THE GOVT. & POLICE HAVE THEIR OWN RECORDS WHICH IS NOWHERE TO THIS.

Mr.Millionaire, I agree with your view partly. The Media should concentrate more on giving positive news of happenings around. Negative News should not be blown out of proportion. Many young children are watching TV, etc. and are well aware. The media have channelised itself into a negative channel to have higher TRPs, etc.
If you have negative side of a society then equally you a positive side of it also, this media should remember and highlight.

True that media is most important contributor for this erosion of values. Simply because there is foreign money invested, they want Anchors be dressed like non-Indians - coats, suits, pants, skirts, everything but Indianised dress like Sarees or Salwar suit. Thanks to DD, they are better in this and are not copying private channels. Secondly, most private channels want some news every minute and they start chasing news, exaggerate some non-existant issue - whether it is child fallen in borewell, or a dog sleeping with a pig, or any nonsense. They keep flashing this as all-important till they get some other nonsense. The news cravy situation should change to getting worthy news for public. One entire day one channel will make exclusive research of all lovers points in the city, give the road map, show each spot where a guy is doing nonsense with a girl - don't know if the channel has managed actors to sit there giving a good look to the coverage! But such things do a great harm to younger groups particularly teenagers. What do the Channels want? Money at the cost of Nation? Why can't the government monitor such things? Channels cannot flourish by money alone, they need a strong country with them.
