Lack of compassion and selflessness is the cause.
by Ayan Roy on May 23, 2008 02:33 PM

I think people do not truly 'love' each other anymore. "Love" is now associated with selfishness, desire and sex. This leads to jealousy and possessiveness, which can unfortunately turn violent, like in this case.

True love is never possessive.
True love reuqires compassion and selflessness; it means that you love the other person more that yourself, and do everything in your power to keep him/her happy, but do not expect anything in return.

True love reuqires that a couple view each other as free birds, not birds enclosed in a golden cage.
And if someone spurns or rejects your love, you should not be broken or angry; you should feel sorry for the other person because he/she would be missing out on a such a lot treasure of love from your heart. maybe someone else would now share the love.
