I have come across many woman in my life, They marry for their safety and squeeze all the man's hard work and finaly cheat them also.Many woman marry only for husband money and wealth. Some body loves man for some times and change. women spend all the earning of the amn withpout any contribution,I even know a woman who has bought property like house etc in husband money and finally through him out. So Women day is more equal to Devils day.

oh yes women are greedy and incompetent. now tell me Mr wht abt the 200,000 dowry deaths in India. man of "ur kind" must be thinking that its their right. Wht else can be expected from a person like u. now abt incompetency. my only question to u is who has made u a competent man? i m sure there must be competent women for that. if u have correct answers for this in ur mind and heart, then ur realisation is over. thats wht i guess.

Ritu,,, I know there are so many dowry deaths... but see the amount of false dowry cases file.. i myself am a victim of false dowry case by my wife.. just because you cannot satisfy your wives financial needs... she screws you nice and proper with 498A... what siva has written in his blog i think is really applicable to almost 60% of women.. with full regards to all the todays gen of women.... ha
so wat is all this fuss about?women want equality everywher but still emphasis on reservations. wat do they really wan? n if a women wan 2 liv alone,then itz ok.but she shud b able 2 accept te fact dat itz not easy al te tym.everyone always points dat women r te epitome f adjusting n sacrifice, but frm wat i knw about my frnds in clg,gals r te adjusting and show a gr8 deal f groupism.they juz cant manage lik men.n about al te abuse on them,wel,in household abuses te main person who abuse them is the mother-in-law,again a woman. n in al the soap operas n jokes that play around,mother-in-laws r the prob, never a father-in-law.

women can never be equal to men dear. men and women both are unique. why these bloody women organisations harp about equality of women. women see their freedom in copying men i.e. working like men, living single like men etc. But why dont these lovely women understand that all males like a woman who is not like a man.So please dear women be like women and you will get respect , love, affection and all that you want. And please shut your mouth about equality with men.

yes ur right dat women r unique compared to men bt i do nt agree ur thoughts abt women copying men bcoz its one's own wish how she wana live..jst as she dresses or lives freely does not mean she copies men..A women's dignity lies in being herself as to however she feels like being if she feels decent... pls dont be or sound dominating abt women being herself...
I am a woman. And i live alone. But i do agree that there is no need to hype the fact of a woman living alone. Both men and women who live alone, face problems, sometimes different than each other. Woman may have more safety issies to think of but i guess at the end it is strength and confidence that you need to live alone. There is no need to make a big deal out of it. If you want independence in life, there is a price to pay....even if you are a man and even if you are a woman.

NEW DELHI: Divorcing your wife may soon cost you more. Advocating big changes in maintenance law for women after divorce, including an alimony hike, the National Commission for Women (NCW) will move Supreme Court for a review of Section 125 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Amongst the provisions that the commission wants reviewed is an increase in the amount of interim maintenance.
NCW contends the present amount is paltry for a woman to meet her and children's expenses. It has suggested the amount should not be less than 30% of the husband's monthly income.
The commission also wants the provision that deprives a wife from claiming maintenance if she is living in adultery to be deleted. "This provision is mostly misused and adultery cases framed against a woman to deny her basic expenses," NCW chairperson Girija Vyas said.
The commission has recommended that the section that stops a woman from recovering the maintenance amount on the expiry of one year should also be removed. According to NCW, 60-80% women do not receive maintenance despite court orders.
"The law is misused and very often women are not given even the paltry amount they are entitled to," Vyas said. Another problem women face is that maintenance is paid for sometime and then stopped

well that doesn't seem very fair... if the wife commits adultry, i don't see why she should be entitled to take her husband's money... if it's her decision to break the marriage contract in that way, she should be able to accept the consequences of her act. i don't think it will help anyone to pay women for committing adultry!
These issues are faced by both men and women, but its just that as nature has made women the weaker sex, there is more emphasis on it.. So guys who keep crying that women get more attention on rediff, stop it.

as nature has made women the weaker so mens are dominating on womens. As you now we got independence 60 years back but a girl alone can walk in metro. It is very same on us. we are have to work to show in INDIA we are safe.
The idea of living single shows independence, courage and the new era in which women have there own say in there life as compared to harrasment by there in-laws or husbands or others. However there is also a flip side. Many women who lives alone are in live-in relationships or one night standees and are very sexually active. They bring any male who they r comfortable with and they have sex parties etc. This is also a realty. Also such women drink a lot and have a western life style. Many of this women have aids due to multiple relationship and high sex life.

anil's comments may look odd but it is true upto a great extent. women living single more often are prone to these silly behaviour. i do not know why but it happens really. the people who have objection to anil's comments are either ignorant or silly guys
Having lived in Delhi, for a long long time, I know, see and understand what goes on around here and the fact is simple. Women cannot live alone in Delhi, Period. Men in the city are of two kinds... Either brave enough to tease a girl in public (in groups, mind you) or coward enough to stand and watch when some idiots are doing so. The fact remains that nobody stops these illiterate idiots who have nothing to do in their lives. They cannot realise and respect the fact that women are as good as many in almost everything, if not better. Since they cannot argue and prove their supperiority intelligently, THAT is why they pull stunts like eve teasing, rape and so on and so forth...
Men in most countries are useless and LOVE to claim that they are better however they are simply in denial that women are equals in this era.

Asit Ganguly men like you need to stop talking in favour of women at the cost of men. Think of millions of men who make all kinds of sacrifices to help their families. Think of men 50000 married men who commit suicide every year.Think of millions of men who are fighting their cases of false dowry harassment, 498A, DV etc. for no fault of theirs. Women are not angels.

Correct view. The offenders are not the persons that these women are equal to i.e. their colleagues (outside work that is I am not talking about at work tugs and pulls) but persons who suffer from a sense of repression. India (let us face it) is a repressed society. The statistics regarding abuse at all ages are truly shocking. Living at home women can be in even greater danges of harassment.
Hi All, I call these routine symptoms because these occurences are part and parcel of growing up and so nothing new, and mind you these are not achievements by any standard...if you have an issue then i recommend that a girl shud never leave her home, family and comfort zone.
