The problem, I believe, the essential issue with humankind, the reason we are all always at some level or another pissed off, is Reality Sucks. No, no, really, hear me out. Animals don't have the same problem because, hey, face it, no matter how much your dog chases balls in his sleep, he's not dreaming about how great life would be if something were a little different. He's okay, really, with his schedule -- scratch, eat, sleep. How wrong could you go with that? He's not in line for a promotion and there isn't this list of things he wants to get done before he's twenty-five, because he'll be a lucky dog if he lives to see sixteen.

SO TRUE !!

Sir,
How true your thoughts are. Yes reality sucks. In the guise of a being a casual, happy go lucky person, most of us are highly ambitious individual. We are not driven by internal motivation, but by the goals and agenda set by the market and glamour. It requires lot of courage to stand alone on one's feet, to be able to really discover what one likes/wants to do or do what one's heart says.

It has become fashionable to talk about sex, to smoke, to flash your drink. People who can't be seen to be casual, who don't drink/smoke are seen to be somwhat laggards, backwards, not in tune with modernity.

But, behind the veil of pretence of careless attitude lies a very clever and calculating mind which is always devising ways to promote his/her self.

the author sounds like a very bitchy woman influenced by hollywood flicks - the likes of madonna, britney spears, pamela anderson who r not satisfied with 1 stick. welcome to the new bitchy woman who thinks that she is an emancipated woman.

I wish there will be more an more of such emancipated women in India. Then there will be more and more women available for us. Simple mathematics

And you know buddy, people are making big business out of it. Emancipating the already emapncipated.

They talk about independence of women who are already independent, living life on their own terms, and possibly switching boy friend like weekly disposable material.

Why? beacuse it makes business sense. Why don't these so called smarties do some thing for the really oppressed and troubled women. Because, there you don't have a market to make money.
