Apart from this beautiful city, this place is surrounded by kali river and hills covered with thick forests,we can enjoy the resorts, river water rafting, jungle safari at Dandeli,it's around 70 kms from belgaum,70 kms from Goa and 550 kms from Bangalore. If you are in Belgaum make a point to drop in to Dandeli,Castlerock and Ambikanagar. Between Oct to Feb is the right season to visit these beautiful places.During winter you can enjoy the temp from 8-12degrees at Dandeli & Castlerock.
Belgaum :) .. the very name which brings smile on my face ..... Till now its "the" place to be for relaxation ... & this place is gonna be transformed to a hell .... thanks to the second vidhan soudha coming up... which invites the society's worst possible creatures :)
Belgaum or any other small town in India will have a charm of its own until they get developed and become economic zones. Then it will become a place for traffic, dirt and malls. Classic examples are Kolkata, Mumbai and Bangalore. Development is good only if it is equally balanced among all regions not just concentrated in few places like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. I feel the real development of India is when people need not have to leave their home town in search of livelihood but get it right there.

hmm..and you seem to be the most horribly biased person I have come across..by the way, what did you compare belgaum to? Toronto, or Copenhagen? Remember we're talking about an 'Indian' town man..and no, I'm not from belgaum or even karnataka or maharashtra
The first time i heard of this place, when my mom was transfered here, i felt really bad. After 6 years in belgaum, when she had to leave(another transfer) I felt all the more sad.. Never have I fallen in love with any place as belgaum.. Made some great friends there and would be visiting belgaum this month.. really excited about it.. Tasnim, rest assured, you are going to have a wonderful time here!
