GRE
by anil peddiraju on Mar 15, 2007 05:02 PM  Permalink

changing the GRE pattern as of sudden without any intimation is completely unacceptable on ETS part. Why did they close in India. Please dont say due to high registrations and validity of new GRE stuff that ETS writes in thie website. They know that most people will not appreciate the new pattern thats why they suddenly stopped the registration by night.
Why do they havent shutdown in US.The most of the talent pool comes from India and China.Thats the reason they stopped.

Changes in new GRE
by Sandesh Gavande on Mar 15, 2007 11:00 AM  Permalink

Though the chamges are made in the GRE test I dont think it will affect the test takers much.. I took the old GRE and scored 1520/1600. I checked the sample questions on ets.org and they seem of the same difficulty level.

But I dont see any mention of the Verbal section. I think I might have missed reading it in the article...
The comprehension section in the old GRE was the toughest which I believe needed practice and thorough understanding and reasonong skills.
