they are not the persons who benefit from reservations. The reserve seats go to sons /daughetrs of s/c,s/t ministers or the creamy layer of s/c ,s/t
wrong.....80% rickshaw pullers in delhi are pundits from up.50 years are enough for reservation...let us stop it now.It was given for 10 years only but unfortunately it is continuing even now.
Wonder why we are discussing it here..has this issue not been debated for the past so many years now? with protests all over India and ppl committing self-immolations, nothing has been able to instill some sense into the govt. what will this debate achieve? nothing..it is a waste of our time. the govt (especially congress) will continue to add more and more to the reservation, just for vote bank. doesnt the govt know that ppl who benefit from reservations are not the needy ones, but those who hv already reached a good economic status and are just milking the reservation strategy. it is our vote that decides the govt policies, so instead of debating, the upper class needs to vote and turn the vote bank..Mayawati had to take Brahmins into confidence, why? vote bank........so all upper caste ppl hv to unite and start voting out the most useless parties like congress. then only will all this come to an end. VP SINGH, the mastermind behind restarting allthe reservation drama was voted out and has never regained power..same has to be done to congress.
The concept of reservation at present in vogue in education and in employment opportunities is totally wrong and it only encourages the lazy and idle the opportunities. What the government has to ensure is primary education to all so that they prepare themselves for higher education and compete with others for job opportunity.The present practice of reservation in higher institutes irrespective of merit will only demotivate hard working students from persuing higher studies and kill all initiative and dreams. The nation will end in substandard pople occupying prominent positions and become a laughing stock to the world
Hindu society is divided on the basis of their ancestral callings.There was dignity of work in the prevedic period.Subsequently the division of labour had become division of society treating one section of society over the other with decreasing respect and dignity vertically down the line.The lowest strata of the society is the most contempted lot.There are the untouchables with no human dignity.They were not allowed to mingle with other people.They had to stay outside the perimeter of the selltement of the higher castes.They were not allowed to have education,cultural advancement,equal religious worship and share the economic prosperity.They were treated as slaves in all respects.Dr Ambedkar the champion of the Depressed,fought for reservation of the SC/STs and it was possible constitutionally for the SC/STs to enjoy this privilege.This only a positive discriminative practiced by the Goverment to uplift their lots.Because of the illtreatment meted out to these people ,a deep scar of social deprivation and inferoity complex had set in their mind from which they are yet to recovered from. No amount of concessions or reservztion can heal this scar.The present generation of SC/STs born in cities havinf good education may not feel the effect of casteism but their counterparts in villahes are still the worst sufferers.The present generation of High castes people may not know the atrocities committed on the SC/STs in the past generation but can have the feeilngs of the same going b
It makes sense if the reservation is based on income basis. The purpose is to provide backward ('Poor Indian') people the needs. So no caste shall be taken as criteria for reservation. -Madhavan Karthikeyan
Reservation is required as this is set by our old four father, they have enjoyed there life by making dalits life miserable in early days, the generation now still is unaware of the discrimination suffered by dalits earlier and now. I totally agree with Reservation set as this will only enable backward class people to stand up in this discrimination world of bramins.

Boss try to realize the fact that u are a victim of the Congress Divide and Conquer strategy. Try to think out of the box. I acept reservations are necessary, but just think, for how long should we have them. Think yaar. Why do u get away with the 'Bhaashans' of the leaders.

when i read the newspaper i feel that our country is full of dalits only.now why do we need resevation when everybody is dalit.is dalit is not human being? Remove tototal reservation and just help the needy person. you know st sc four fathers are still enjoying the reservation and i think this will not go from our India. poor SC SC AND BC Problems

i agree majority of indians are dalits.....now gujjar and meena from rajsthan wants reservations....NOW WHO IS IN MAJORITY status when everybody is in MINORITY?
This only divides the society in the long run and does not help the cause of united India in any manner. Any retrograde steps like entry to temples governed by old outdated traditions rather than by reasonings, severe fall out of casteism or not going after meritocracy, are seriously deplorable and should be made punishable offense. I cant think of living in the world governed by people who are in their job because of their community status but not MERIT!
Here is my proposal. Let us split ourselves into two countries - one for the forward class and second for those who consider themselves socially backward.
Obviously, one will be ruled by meritorious people while the other will be ruled through reservation candidates. We can check on the progress of the nations periodically to see where we end up after 50 years!
The answer is simple: The meritorious would be similar to the western world and the second would be similar to Afghanistan of today!
What is the necessity to reserve extra quota for SC & ST. Are they poor or backward. This is totally wrong. This is the politics by our currupted politician. They have to think that without general vote are they win by only SC or ST. Govt. should withdraw quota. General people are suffering and facing suicide reguarly.

very much true. muslims are facing problem to even earn bread for their family....bramins have become rickshaw pullers/they are cleaning toilets in delhi/mumbai
