How do you think IT guys get job in US? They have degree in different engineering field & suddenly on there CV they show work experience in India..saying they worked over time while doing undergrad in India. Come on guys!
I know Fake CVs are on the rise. What is the NASSCOM doing in this issue. Even companies give false projections to get projects, are they being punished. Every time it is the individual is caught not the company. In the US they dont look for any particular qualifications as they do in India. There they look for the capability of the candidate and his skill sets. As many might be aware the engineers who are in the IT sector are not putting in their engineering knowledge. For many jobs, we need not hire engineering grads.. when they are not doing any creative jobs. These companies recruit engineering grads and do some crap work. Is this not cheating. Does NASSCOM come and curb this while companies get projects for this.
All speak about fake CVs. I wonder why there isn't any topic on fake offers even by companies ? Recently I attended an interview for the post of Senior Marketing Manager of a Fortune 100 German Company. After brief discussions with their Marketing Director, I realised the offered post was of Marketing Executive nature, even though they named it Sr Mktg Mgr. I really got annoyed and rejected the offer. Now I wonder who keeps an account of these incidents ?
"Like Company Like Employees" Most of the companies submit false information to procure projects and they accept false CVs even after knowing the same as false, because they have to finish the project at any cost. When at any period of time, if they feel they are over staffed then they will rack this issue to send off some of their staff. It is a two way transaction.
RE:Have you ever faked your CV?

At the end of the day, companies can have their say, while individuals cannot.
As individuals, it pays to have a true CV. Why have skeletons in your cupboard? Be out with it.
No point blaming these people with false CVs. It is the management institutions and other educational establishments which must take responsibility for not instilling corporate ethics.
They tell you to be "smart" and these people start preparing fake CVs.
Well, I guess there may be some who have a fake CV even today, and may be getting away with it...hell, they may get away with it and make it big in life too.
The point is, it is unpredicatble...you never know how to find the guy with a fake CV. To be on the safe side, check every single CV coming your way.
Dear All, Idon't want to discuss whether it is right are wrong. False information in any CV is only regarding the quantum of Exp and Salary. To avoid this, Like campus recruitment, whatever may be the opening and what ever may be status of the applicant, if he possess the min. required edu qualification conduct some form of test and fill the vacancy if he or she is competent for the job. Don't think about his past position and salary. Judge his worth as on DATE right away and decide. This will minimise the problem to the huge extent. Don't follow in any selection, based on the outdated system of previous exp and prev salary. Always think about his present strenth and future utility.
Faking resume is wrong it is principally wrong. According to religion it is wrong. But practically it is happening, and those who are doing this are wrong people.
Could you all stop this arguments and comments? I afraid internet medium is not your home for discussion on such negative issue. The arguments are going on against Indian employees and employers.
We should remember most of the Indian companies depend on outsourcing party from abroad. And this negative comments and publishing must hot them. Could you imagine the tomorrow%u2019s business and a job?

Dear do it, no probs...This is an art. But why we are discussing on the worldwide medium (internet)? Do we want to show our crow smartness to foreign companies that we fake our cv and company profile too???

Its a wild-wild world baby!! One needs to survive. Beside every HR person know what is real and what is fake but they accept the resume as it is. I dont know what is the big deal in it. A person is not killing someone .. he is just earning bread and butter for his family.. Is it a crime???
Also Charles Darwin theory states: 'Survival of the Fittest'.
I would rather say - If u have ally by u can fake it.

Exactly, Infact I know of one company supplying a fake recommendation as one of the employee's visa was rejected based on the rules that his resume was not suitable bcos of his inadequate experience / qualification.
The resume was doctored, recommendation given and he got the visa.
The company in question is a well known one.
So why raise such hue n cry... morality like charity begins from home!

You are 101% right, We are not doing any crime by faking our resumes. Its the market trend, and we are just following it. If we don't we will be surely drowned !!
I have some points to add, 1) 98% companies send peoples on B1 visa to US. Really r these guys going for business -no So these companies r cheating the US and the india governments.Every one knows about .
2)its a must to pay full local salary ,if they send on h1. Who is paying- only allowence. 3) i know HRs and PMs faked their resumes to get projects. Frankly it happened in my case also. 4) Is it possible ,the gov will take action against big companies . No they won't.
These companies will pay big bribes to get land allotment, Tax free holidays ,etc.

No software company is not a genuine one except one or two. The HRs know everything about the fake resume floating in the market. In many cases HRs and Resource Manager make a lot of money out of this. One such case happened in a reputed company in HYD (an MNC also located in NOIDA), RESOURCE MANAGER was asked to leave as he accepted lot of bribe by offering jobs for fake resumers.
When these people are making money out to this what's wrong in faking the CV for just bread and butter.
