given the constrains of writing in one web page, she has done a good job. the article tells us differences between two very popular sweets, and also what that many calories mean in real terms.
as for all those of u who r asking about fat guy - thin guy and manipuri-hip hop factors, exactly what do u expect from a webpage?? absolute nirvana?? if u were so concerned about ur health and two rasgullas, consult a professional, not visit websites. and hey, those tips on avoiding the sweets n stuff are actually useful pointers. i guess u shud know by now that nothing should be taken literally, and that there is something called ur own judgement??
ppl, get a life. go exeercise. if u were exercising, believe me, u wouldnt take two rasgullas so damn seriously
Isn't it ridiculous to say that if we are served dry fruits and sweets, we opt for Dry fruits and also to tell that we do not visit relatives or friends on festive occassions to avoid Calories. Anything in limits is good in life. So with eating. Similarly in moving out and visting friends and relatives. Rediff can post better articles then this in future which misguide you and do not have any meaningful help in end.In fact the article has no calories at all with respect to Knowledge. The writer should go round India and see how Deepavali/Diwali is celebrated in various parts like Gujarat, maharashtra, Tamil nadu. Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and feel the enthusiasm, eagerness, earnestness, faithfullness, happiness, sense of fulfillment shown by people for this festval. Please note by both rich and poor, healthy and unhealthy, salaried and busineess, posh localities and slum dwellers, hindus and muslim, Sikh and christians.
also the writers fails to take into account how heavy a person is a heavier person will burn much more than a lighter person a 110 kg person can burn upto 600-700 cals also this author makes little sense
i know its difficult for routine exercise during festive season, but atleast try to do excercise by cutting down time i,e, instead of 1 hr atleast do 30 mins exercise. And as soon as the festive is over return back strongly with normal diet and excercise.
Dear all thees days almost all the people espacially who are in entertainment business have started worrying or have become figure conscious
actors of yesteryears were never in lime light because on regular basis they used to act not diet. secondly thanks to some socialites.we are lured into diets which sre not suitable to our system we just should not eat fondue.as it wont suit us.but these half "firangis"are idiots.just ignore them.ours is the best meal;proved time and again.
Hey, this is festival time! You can count your calories on normal days and not on Diwali day. So, let yourself go and wade into platefuls of rasagollas and jamuns. Do\'nt be partial to the one and only badam halwa. Eat it as much as you can. After all, Diwali comes once a year only!
A plate of 2 (300 calories) (15 gms fat) = Dancing for 50 minutes
A plate of 2 (250 calories) (10 gms fat) = Dancing for 42 minutes --------------------------------------------------- Even if she does know her subject, she doe not certainly know how she should present it.
What is this dancing stuff anyway? does it mean Manipuri dance, or Break Dance (jackson type), or the Flamenco, or the Tap Dance. Manipuri is slow dance, whereas Break dance could be tantamount to running at 9km/hr. Easy aerobic dancing will burn about 315 calories/hr, whereas intense dance will burn about 470 cal for a 60 kg individual. In other words, this dance as a measure for rate of burning calories is highly non-standard, and does not convey anything at all. Of course the rate at which you burn calories varies between individuals. By and large it depends on one's metabolic rate and one's size. But on an average, one burns about 78 calories per hour just by sitting. Sleeping burns about 65 calories per hour. Read the definitive book by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger. Or try http://www.webmd.com/content/tools/1/calc_calories.htm For all her diplomas, sadly, her writing does not measure up.

Dude, forget about the type of dance you need. The point being made here is, which of the 2 dishes has more calories and would take longer to burn.
The maths may not be very correct, but the message is very clear.

Well said... there is nothing serious in the author's writing. Maybe in an attempt to spice up the content, finer details were overlooked. or, lets say, the essential facts were not mentioned and other rubbish is in place. LoLz....
