My rating

Tanya has penned a very good & relevant article considering the modern day stress situations we are subjected to.However, she could have emphasized the supreme importance of mind over matter for example the practise of daily positive auto-suggestions and subsequent visualisation. It takes time but is really effective.I have won over my worries through consistent effort over a period of one month.Let us all make a sincere effort to win in life.

How to overcome worry
by Dr.A.Jagadeesh on Dec 04, 2006 10:14 PM  Permalink

Excellent piece on worry and how to overcome it. In the present world stress and tension have become part and parcel of everybody's life. One goes to the Railway Station but not sure about the arrival of the train in time; one goes to a cinema Theater and one is not sure whether he gets ticket or not; one appears for a job interview but will be under tension about the result, housewife is not sure whether she gets LPG gas in time for the gas stove or not and the list is endless. One way to tackle stress is to take a brisk walk as in walking all the muscles come in to action. Yet another way is to take a Cold water bath as cold water stimulates nervous system. Another suggestion is to go to Temple/church/mosque to get confidence in God if not in oneself as Emerson put it," Many things are wrought by prayer than the world dreams of. One can read lives of the great people which help to learn that people achieved greatness by sheer devotion, dedication and hard work. One can understand that they faced many obstacles. Kites fly against the wind but not with the wind. I practiced the above with much success and happiness.

Great article
by Sridhar on Dec 04, 2006 07:30 PM  Permalink

I loved every portion of it. It's not always that one performs. There are times when everything goes your way and times when nothing goes your way. I am curently going through the latter.

This article came as a breather... Staying focused is the key, which often goes for a toss when you don't face new challenges.
