help regarding ''Home Assure''
by Guest on Jul 24, 2008 05:10 PM  Permalink

my father had taken a home loan from ICICI, and he unfortunately passed away a week back due to a heart attack.he had told us in his lifetime that he HAD taken a policy in which if anything happens to him, the loan amount would be paid off by the insurance company.

i went and checked with ICICI prulife, and they did a search with my fathers Date of Birth, but it did not find any results, and they say , they cant search with my fathers name in their database as there would be too many people with the same name.i double checked all the documents @ home for any policy number of "Home assure" , but could not find any..

I dont know what to do, am a student and need help !
i can be contacted at flankerfreak @ gmail

Hi Friend - I suggest to check with ICICI Lombard as well, once...

Also, do a reverse check by finding the amount of premium that your father must have paid and get a sense of the amt. assured

If nothing works, file an application in Consumer Court sighting negligence in service

insurance - repay
by Jayapandian on Feb 13, 2006 06:04 PM  Permalink

Hi, I have doubt on the insurance. Let us consider, A person has taken a loan for 10 lakhs and a premium for 1 laks with the tenure of 15 years. Consider he paid all the loan amount also including premium amount. Can the person get the premium amount of 1 lakhs after 15 years?

Thanks and Regards
Jayapandian

When one avails a housing loan, is the home/flat/house insured by the housing loan company?.
If something unfortunate happens to the building, is the purchaser liable to pay installments to the housing loan company (in case the flat is insured)?
